OP - Don't worry about HS (actually it is SH). His account is not visible because it was temporarily disabled as he went on a long vacation as that is Ford's policy.

After this week is going to be even bigger round of layoff reflecting fnv4 cancellation. Have to fund CE1. Before that is also cancelled next year.

You’ll receive an email tomorrow instructing you to work from home for the week. Then, on Tuesday/Wednesday, you’ll likely receive a call informing you that you’ve been laid off. My heart goes out to those who remain—it won’t be easy moving forward. After this round of cuts, morale will be at an all-time low, and trust in leadership and in Ford will be deeply shaken. Wishing everyone strength and resilience in the days ahead.

In the last several decades, Ford has had two core issues: trust and the truth. Regarding trust, very few organizations and departments trust that the others will do their job. They want to keep information to themselves and not share so that it gives them power. Management never trusts your time and cost estimates for projects, which leads to padding which leads to management requesting more cuts and the vicious cycle continues. Regarding truth, management is focused on what's the best story, not what's the best solution. Everything is green, no yellows or reds allowed. I remember seeing a C-level presentation after a 20% cut and all was green. My first thought is you are either not measuring the right things or you didn't cut enough. And you were wasting this 20% even before this effort. Yes, there was a brief reprieve when AM was here, but it didn't become pervasive in the culture. Tell your employees what's really going on instead of hiding behind Legal and HR. Tell your customers what's really going on and you might get a bit of sympathy in return.

I'm not new here... I just don't give a sh-t if they censor or not. LEADERS and DRI should be named not protected by secrecy. people who decide hundreds of people career and livelihood should be named.

I'm in VSP (FT) but getting pretty worried honestly. The lack of information is unacceptable and the fact that Matt Jones is on vacation is crazy.

That’s what is said seeded through time across threads as if it was slowly woven.

The issue is the execution. Too much lying. This is not a startup. Tell the truth. Accountability is how you win. The world is changing. You can’t win without it. You will see in the future. Perhaps even me. We are all human.

Referring back to the impressionist era like degas. Start with nothing. No preconception. Instead of tying motivation to fixing problems. We should ask if there is a problem that needs fixing. And if we make change, who is to say that change is lasting? Structure requires equilibrium. Imagine a car on a driveway that is slanted. Drive up, goes down, back… and forth. Even sun tzu mentions how there prolonged warfare isn’t good for anyone. You mock the idea of square and circles, but it was a bit to show you the idea of us vs them. The group think of it all. Provocative. Let’s not mislabel certain things as squares. The point isn’t to reject the idea of innovation as foolish behavior. The point is the reject the behavior where we force things that muddy up the outcome we desire. Playing dirty doesn’t get the outcome. The issue is that psychologically we are vulnerable and there are many different things that lead us to failing in strategy. When you’re working with so many people, it is difficult. But look at the human capital. Virtue signaling and being performative and wasting potential of talent and treating them like sh-t and telling the world something totally different from the inside is messed up. The small things matter because those small things end up being big things that were missed. It’s all about the detail. If you look at this from the idea “you’re only strong as your weakest link”, you’d get confused…. Because why is everyone making strong people weak? It seems like we are only as weak as our weakest link too. That is totally confusing to me, how about you?

Look guy, I’m not sure what YOUR gripe is but mine is a personal issue regarding unethical behavior that primarily has to do with blackmail, deceit, false promises, playing with precious time in our young adult lives. I see you saying square or whatever. And I don’t know if you’re either making fun or against but it doesn’t really matter if you’re trying to hit a specific target. Which I’m still unsure if that is even the case. I think it’s really concerning how easy and it is to minimize and undermine others by cheating and unchecked will surely cause destruction. I personally want people specifically involved in my situation to be held accountable so I’m able to move on from this, you understand? It’s like ambiguous loss when you had no idea the level of manipulation that goes on in work culture coming from undergrad without being aware of what we are signing up for… I didn’t sign up for any of the stuff that I endured neither is it my fault for staying… there was manipulation. I’m aware now. I cannot tell if the comments below mock my experiences or not, but I hope you show grace if so and try to see where I’m coming from. I know exactly who did this to me and I know each day nobody did the right thing. It hurts me because it makes me think of what is going on with adults in our community. I didn’t expect to see all this pain and infliction. I certainly didn’t prepare for what people did to me. Especially how they got away with things. We can make jokes, but I’ll say this: ford motor company genuinely destroyed my life :/

I wish that individual and all those who report to him (MA, JM) would be held accountable. Unfortunately, CL and RZ hold too much influence and often act unethically, consistently shifting blame onto others to protect themselves.

I have not seen any organisation more corrupt and driven by pure nepotism than Ottawa!
