" but stand tall and do the right thing."

Lol. Is this a script from an afterschool special?

@1rxx+1mycVXLA you're the one that will get laid off next...see if that changes your tune.

@1rxx+1mycVXLA If you don’t want to quiet quit, don’t. Nobody is forcing you lol. Not that deep.

This I don’t agree with. Why would I sacrifice my integrity and character, values and work ethic? Is it going to make a change? Is it going to make me feel any better? No. Because when you have good work ethic, you do the right thing even when no one is looking. You just do the right thing. And hope they do the right thing by us. And this is just an ordinary employee who believes in remote work -
100% if needed - freedom to make decisions yada yada. This quiet quitting stuff is BS and I don’t believe in it. Move on if we must, but stand tall and do the right thing. Yes, demotivating moments come but stay true and honest to the end.

@qaq+1mycVXLA I’m not discounting anyone’s experience. Anyone who feels they are being mistreated knows where the door is. In the modern workplace you have to look out for #1. Nobody else will. If you really think you deserve better go out and get it. I have done that myself. I’m just cautioning people to be realistic. Every company has problems.

If you are miserable go get something better. Nobody was sentenced to work here. If you don’t and continue to whine you probably know deep down you can’t do any better.

" I would love to have those folks back so please do quiet quit or nominate yourself for WFR"

How magnanimous of you. Did you pat yourself on the back after that post?

I know several folks who were WFR’d not due to performance but just because of the cuts that needed to be made and projects that were postponed so they were no longer needed. I would love to have those folks back so please do quiet quit or nominate yourself for WFR so we can get the people who really enjoyed their work.

@gja+1mycVXLA No need to dismiss other’s experiences at Dell. Could have kept that to yourself. Ppl are being treated terribly and not all companies do that to ppl, especially for scraps.

Dell certainly has its problems but I think those commenting here about wanting a WFR and going to work for a modern company vastly overestimate how other companies operate. Corporate America as a whole is very broken and sick. Personnel decisions are made to check boxes and pander to childish activists rather than results. It’s ki-ling productivity everywhere. I am making as much money as I can, while I can, and will head to the exit and leave them with their wonderfully diverse subpar workforce.

Yes. Just quiet quitting and hoping to be netted in a WFR. Get me out of this sinking ship.
Never been in a company where they just treat their people like furniture.

Yes, i hope to be in the WFR. Tired of being bullied by my boss to do work out of my job description, because we’re severely short staffed.

Not quiet quitting but in Dell terms it could probably be construed as such. I take breaks away from my desk. I have stopped doing anything out of hours unless absolutely necessary and I have started having hobbies again outside of work. Basically I am doing what is contracted of me.

Quietly quit for the past two years. What I consider the basics is considered outstanding in Dell. Says it all. Hopefully get cut soon and go and get a proper career in a proper modern company. But getting paid for nothing is nice as well
