This layoff actually led me to find a bunch of opportunities that I was better suited for any damn way. Putting 2u in the rear view, good luck to all still there !
It's never a good time to get laid off, aslo all these people talking about how toxic the place is and that the writing has been on the wall for years. So what does that make most of them, illiterate!??

Wow what a cold and heartless reply from below. You never know what someone is going through, just practice mindfulness even if you don’t do anything else, at least do that. That is extremely insensitive.

I’m hoping that you realise in a few months from now, once you have found something better, that it really was for the best.
You might have been pushed out the building but honey it was burning anyway.
I pray you find something so wonderful but should you need to take a few days before jumping in the search again, do that. Everyone deals differently and I hope you allow yourself to deal in whatever way makes you feel better.

This is an incredibly challenging economic time, and there are a lot of wonderful, highly skilled people that are under or unemployed through no fault of their own. It’s just a difficult time. I hope you don’t have to find that out the hard way.
