Weekly check-Ins are a corporate junkyard. Good employees and good managers don’t need, and don’t use them. Bad managers use these tools to nail good employees to micromanage and harass. HR loves these as they can formally use the data to protect the company. Garbage IN, Garbage OUT.

Lucky you all, my new manager has gone all in on these stupid things. Comments on every single entry and tries to create conversation on the stupid platform. We dont need another webex teams. :(

They are a total waste of time. I literally stopped doing all of the check-ins. I still talk to my boss, but no one uses team space. My old managers wouldn’t even read it, so it was talking into a void. You can actually see read receipts on your entries.

I don't think they're effective at all. No one wants to do them, managers don't have time to read them or respond to them, so what's the use?
