Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Cvs is a sinking ship

Layoffs are the easy and lazy short term way to save a few bucks. The real problems aren't being addressed which is the massive debt and no growth catalysts.

Well, I hope it sinks faster, so we all get spared of constant fear of layoffs.
There is no real innovation in the company, no interesting work.

If you want a little insight into the CVS retail world take a brief read of the CVS Reddit subgroup. If any part of CVS needs attention it's there. Retail doesn't work when the employees have such disdain for the customers who pay their hourly wages. Don't forget to do the little heart thingy.

I think it's natural to be a bit upset at the prospect of losing a job to a contractor. I know people who had their projects taken from them, they were laid off and those projects were then given to people who were favored by Sr Manager's and Lead Directors...after working years on them. Petty jealous power trips.

Yes, the real issues aren't being addressed and layoffs are the cheap and easy way to achieve short term savings while making it look like your in control of things. That said, Wall Street is catching on to this ploy and starting to not buy it.

I get that things are tough. Most of you have been either laid off or are living in fear of being next.

That being said, can you all be a little kinder? I realize CVS is a toxic, soul su-king organization, but look inward and see what they have done to you. Maybe talk with someone or find a support group. You are obviously very unhappy and bitter. This is not good for your mental health and no one should live feeling like this

Insurance business is a Cash-Cow. CVS is showing an artificial financial crisis to save excess expenses. While the company is showing struggles it continues to spend billions on acquiring new companies. This shows that the strategy of this company is to expand into other markets investing in new ventures to increase revenue under the guidance of capital investors.

I really do think there's a person on here constantly stiring the pot. Trying to get a rise from the real ex employees and current employees. It would be one thing if they really had anything informational or insidet insights but it looks like they just want to keep racist, ageism, toxicity going.
