@1thn+16uJJ3GJ if he starts planning now, its too late. You need to start planning for this the first day you walk in the door.

Those of us that have been in the industry 20+ years have seen 2 or 3 of these down turns. We are always prepared whether we get laid off or not.

Its the people with no money skills and make the kind of money that Boeing pays for the first time in their lives that can't handle it. You see it in professional sports all the time. Guy makes 2.1M per year for 5 years, gets hurt, and is broke in 2 months.

Those are the people who get angry. They lash out at the world because no one is there to take care of them. They feel entitled to always live this lifestyle. The anger should be directed at themselves for not planning, but they really just don't comprehend that. If feel sorry for them.

It’s not about playing with lives, it’s about facing reality. The visceral response to the facts indicates one is in fear of losing everything they have worked for. Start planning now. Worst case scenario, you get laid off. Best case scenario, you have a plan.

Talent Review Meetings by 1st & 2nd Level managers are done 2-weeks prior.
Your 1st level will notify you 2-3 days prior.

If you’ve got a lot of seniority and you’re talking like this, f— you for trying to worry people. If you’re getting layed off I think you’ve got better things to do. Either way f— you punks these are lives not jokes, go back to burger king

Your analysis makes sense. Why the hell they are not laying off managers.

@ibl+16uJJ3GJ
Fact: DC has said TWICE that 10% is not enough and that we will go above the original 10%

Fact: DC has said (as well as plenty of other analysts) that it will be 3 years or better before we are back to almost normal.

Fact: Only 5500 people took the VLO last time, unless they sweeten the pot (which they won't) its doubtful anyone who.passed last time will jump this time. This leaves the very few who were not asked last time. So, my best guess is 1000 will take it this time.

Fact: Name me ONE TIME that a VLO was not followed up by an ILO. Just once...I'm waiting. Yeah, didn't think so.

Fact. Another VLO will be followed by a massive layoff. Then years of waiting before being called back. Quit deleting the truth.

At this point, I wish they opened up the VLOs to anyone who wants it. I’d take a nice package and switch things up by working on some other thing.

Old employees just accept VLO offers for “YOUNG” Employees ;)

They need to sweeten the deal otherwise it’s just a kick out the door.

Man I wish I could take the VLO.....
If I had 26 years in the books, I’d jump ship for sure.
I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t

Just another prelude to ILOs. And still more information on targets other than it will be over the original 10% number.

Before you say, more to come on the 24th, I will say that that original 10% target was announced BEFORE the previous VLOs.

This is different and more hidden. So much for transparency.
