Not true about the 300+
The facts is that nobody can see which section got impacted and by how much

What’s sad is that ppl warned managers that. They were going to be sacrificed by directors for the director mistakes. Those fired were bewildered. I think they were d-mb to let themselves be used by those directors

The arrogance of those people in Austin is hard to believe but true. And they do sabotage other teams…

1mdUDkA6 ,
I’ll tell you why we keep those useless fellows… because once they did something 20 years ago and now they expect a free ride.
Same story that the farm that keeps a 50 year old Ford 150 that uses 20 gallons per miles, stinks, rusted, and costs a bundle to keep.. but hey the 150 50 years brought Mary the cow to pasture - once so for that event… we have spend millions… that’s what a fellow at resideo is… a rusted F150 that once carried a cow to pasture… and btw the manure that the cow dropped in the truck is still there…

The software org in the USA is the most abusive org I have ever experienced. Not only do they abuse dr-gs and other stuff but they constantly lie and make up cr-p. The PMO performance in real number is no better..
That need a total change from the top down starting at the VP level

@2fmv+1mdUDkA6,
That’s the biggest BS I heard this week. That org will continue to sink Money on projects and efforts that basically bring paper victories but nothing real. All wind -literally.
It’s insane. All those director yahoos that just blow Bs will continue their games in Austin , meanwhile the people below continue to suffer and live in an abusive org. Time to quit if your resume is worth anything

Short sighted. Bad management. The hallmark of Resideo. This could have been done much differently.
Some of the people who were chopped are taking a good amount of IP with them that is now lost. Never to be transferred to the kids. Short sighted, ignorant decisions.
Some of the people who were chopped were actually smiling and laughing. They were ready for retirement anyway. They won the lottery.
Some who were chopped were dead wood. They won’t be missed from a functional standpoint.
This could have been structured much differently.

I feel sad for impacted employees, and it seems aligned with company strategy to consider workforce as an adjustment parameter to optimize shareholders short-term benefit.

This is Lord Beale-ich from GOT speaking:
No mistake. All those were not cooperating to work for me so I made sure they were gone by using my own brand of trickery and backstabbing

Fourth Quarter 2022 Financial Highlights
Net revenue of $1.56 billion, up 7% from $1.45 billion in the fourth quarter 2021
Gross profit margin of 27.6%, unchanged versus the prior year quarter

  1. e., Up $430M in profit from the previous year. Why lay off 1M worth of resources? $1M is a drop in the bucket. And they aren't investing enough in resources to begin with.

It looks like we are finally going to go slower. Good job decision makers.

Everyone who has been with P&S for 10 years should know that a really bad decision was made. Our performance will be affected.

We have the knowledge. Others make mistakes.
And our leadership is making mistakes now.
