It seems ADP has announced upcoming layoffs. It will be insensitive in such dire times for employees

There's no way they would give up those slots.
H1b and H4EAD people are safe in Alpharetta. Mainly targeted Americans by their Indian managers.
500 furloughed, 500 layoffs on top of termed contractors
@yaa+1518EPFn Someone on another thread mentioned one person was a CRM son RPO
There is a way this could have been prevented; a way to slow the exit of US jobs to India and The Philippines. The word that ADP fears most...UNION.
Who are laid off? Which departments are affected?
A 1000 total is what I read into it too. Not very clear.
@atd+1518EPFn I read email as 500 furloughs and 500 layoffs is that correct? So 1k total.
The 4 weeks of paid notice are in lieu of The Warn Act requirements for notice. The number 500 for each was picked to meet the definition of "mass" layoffs and furloughs. To lay off in groups of say 400, gives the appearance of impropriety and trying to avoid having your layoff defined as "mass". There may also be other financial, tax and legal considerations, but the number is strategic.
On another thread it was said that SEC paperwork was filed in January (before any of this pandemic impact) for layoffs to occur in April. So did they just hold off until May to blame covid?
For job elimination, associates receive 4 weeks paid notice period (5/20-6/16) then severance based on length of service beginning 6/17.
Such a bad move to announce it and leave everyone hanging waiting to see if they will be called. Poor leadership
@rqu+1518EPFn I guess I don’t know anyone that has been laid off. I’m unclear what they offer, so you could be right. Cobra has to be paid by the employee right?
I just re read the email and it said that they would be enhancing the standard separation package and ALSO including six months of subsidized COBRA health benefits in the US. I don't see anything about 4 weeks. The standard separation package is 2 weeks per year, correct???
@lgu+1518EPFn Form his email I only saw they would pay insurance if furloughed. If laid off they would offer cobra. I didn’t see that he said 4 weeks of severance. I missed that.
4 weeks would be the "severance" in addition to 6 months insurance.
@kfq+1518EPFn Where did you hear 4 weeks of compensation? Did Carlos mention in his email, I missed that?
4 weeks of compensation for a lay off ? Why if you have been here for 15 years ? That doesn’t seem right. Or is the 4 weeks in addition to the standard severance ?
Looks to be 500 in layoffs and an additional 500 in a RIF. Hearing 4 weeks of compensation and 6 months of paid COBRA benefits.
We just received a email that 500 associates will be impacted. Though they say Furlough for up to 3 months, if not longer. They (ADP) will continue to pay for employee insurance up to 6 months.
Someone in a higher up position with this knowledge is kind enough to come here and give people a heads up?
I'm sure all the executives read this board. One of them wanted to throw us a bone.
That guy that said may18th was the day for layoffs was right. Wonder how he got it?
They literally just announced profitable quarters and mentioned the current Covid situation hasn’t impacted the business as it has other corporations. What type of garage is this? More shams coming from companies lying to their employees and behind close doors plotting to ruin everyone?
