I would clarify, this isn't about "money problems" - it's about corporate greed. There's no one going broke involved in MedSol other than the folks that are being laid off.

I mean, there had to have been money problems way prior that were kept from us. Tell us again why we bought more companies?

Expecting any sort of class from the HR dept or leadership there is a lost cause.

I've heard that layoffs have been happening every day since Thursday, 2/29 and that there isn't an end date for it. I know of at least one VP who said they were completely blind-sided by the layoffs. Departments that appear to have been impacted are onboarding, credentialing, billing, learning/development, and marketing/internal communications. Love that the new CEO talked all about wanting to provide us with more transparency in that all-company meeting yet has said not a single word about these layoffs...

I was one of several among my team laid off yesterday. While we had heard the rumblings of the layoffs going on last week and the beginning of this week, nothing had been confirmed - nothing from the CEO & nothing from our immediate management either. The first indication that I had that it was hitting our team was the call I received telling me I was being let go effective immediately. And how they chose those to let go wasn’t disclosed nor does it make any sense.
If you still have a job there, your only guarantee is it’s not safe and you should be looking for something else.

"If that's the case, then this is operationally strategic and has been reviewed by the CEO and upper management thoroughly. These decisions are not made lightly, and not in a vacuum. Every decision has been painstakingly considered and vetted. This is not easy for anyone. Including the people in charge of making the decisions."

  • This coming from someone who has no experience in management or leadership or is just lost in la la land. Absolutely id--tic statement. This is a prime example of pi-s poor leadership. Honestly, they should teach these mistakes in university so people understand how to to NOT run a company. If this was strategic to begin with, the company wouldn't have purchased as many companies as they did nor would they have signed off on poorly managed financial expectations and missed the mark as bad they did. So many poor decisions. It wouldn't surprise me if there was something shady going on with the purchase of so many companies especially since the industry is so small.

@1hla+1rpI5bXr since we should give you a big thank you for putting people on EBT, you should have the courage to post your role.
Otherwise, don't come knocking for sympathy.

@oqv+1rpI5bXr: Not a single word. She sent an email yesterday about our merit increases being discussed this month, but nothing about the layoffs. I'm sure almost nobody is excited about the merit increases when they don't even know if they'll have a job by the end of the month.
