Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

News From my pickup ...

As I drive in Melville .... I know the FLIR team will be impressed by me and my friends. I managed to make the first CTO believe in air and water (I got stock for the purchase) , gave the second gamer a Titan high speed going in circle, and made the 3 rd CTO quit because I designed a stormy teacup size device
hopefully I will get more stock soon as I work really hard for it...
I admire quicksilver which is an engineering marvel.

Today from my pickup I made Johnny walker believe that the cloud is actually composed of fresh water running pipes that run gigantic wheels which produce gigantic sheet of paper containing the answer to our questions.
He was surprised and promised to take this new information into account !
It was after a night of heavy tasting of certain liquids

@kol,
In my experience the reason the “offshore” team is able to get so much work done is because they pump out a lot of iffy code. An360 is one of the worst written applications. It’s a mess of a codebase(old and new flows), half of the features don’t work, it’s horribly designed, and looks like it’s implemented by someone who just discovered what design patterns are.

That being said, there are a bunch of talented workers on the Bangalore team, and there are a lot of awful workers in Melville. In an ideal world, the security leaders would make the decision to sc-ap all of the legacy garbage and start from scratch with the best from both teams but they can’t seem to move away from all of the legacy stuff that “just works.” Instead they would rather create a culture of “us vs them” between the teams and continue pumping out issues into existing products.

Not so much. BTW, the Shell station on 110 is hiring, but they make you cover up tattoos.

The racism starts at the top - former VPGM (demoted) by condoning and allowing this to happen and condoning not much results and keeping incompetents middle layers that don’t do anything except promote each other.
And btw We hear it’s same incompetence in comfort too. Especially marketing who only sells themselves .... if someone has been here 2 years and got promoted they are part of the problem as we delivered not much if any

@2ijr,
This won’t happen as everyone from director sand above are partaking into the milking the cow. Firing too many would prevent another couple of years getting paid and doing almost nothing....

This is bout a c-appy, non innovative company on its way out. Can't you all get along while you are all fired one by one over he next few months?

@2vmg the real question is why do the Melville people pretend that that are not racist.

Even your director that oversaw architecture agreed that offshore was the better team. He fired anyone who disrespected us. His boss the chief architect that went to google also agreed.
So get something done instead of spinning and talking trash.

Useless Melville twats are in no position to comment on the work output of anyone. We get more done in a day than you do in a week. The Melville definition of "work" is asking for status, passing the buck, and keeping your head up your a–. I'm surprised you even knew writing code was in the job description. There's a reason why Melville projects need so much offshore help.
