Ireland redundancy package

Anyone laid off in Ireland in the last few months can you share what the redundancy package was please? Was it 4 weeks for every year and an additional 1 year for every year ?

“Six weeks per year worked”

I think you’ll find (well, hopefully you don’t personally!) that it’s 4 weeks per year, capped at 2 years. The state redundancy is 2 weeks per year (+ 1 weeks pay) capped at €600 per week.

The 2014 lay off’s were 6 weeks etc however that appears to have been reduced to 4 weeks since the surgical (low profile) redundancies in the last 2 years.

Be prepared globally packages are being reduced for the next wave of people being wiped out. It’s getting too expensive for Dell to justify more than legislative minimums.

Irish and EU employment law is a lot tougher.
Musk found that out last year.

WOW! In the US it's two months and then one week for every year. (typically, but not always). 6 weeks per year sounds amazing!
