$25 per Intel share is a great buying opportunity. Intel shares are basically on sale at the moment. For anyone with 5 year patience, INTC is a good buying opportunity I think. For those of us who got RSUs at $58 a pop, it's tough luck unfortunately :(

715K INTC shares are only 22M dollars.

Buffett is laying down 4 billion on TSMC. Orders of magnitude more.

On the other hand, David Einhorn bought 715K shares of INTC @ $25.77 for his Greenlight Capital fund! Trust the old guys or the younger one?

@kaa+1jIo3P7B Warren Buffet and his vice chair Charlie Munger are value investors. They do a lot of research and analysis and make billions for themselves and their investors. BTW, Buffet is 92 and Munger is 98 and still working full time. Maybe laying off the older experienced workers isn't always the best idea but I would bet that the workers Intel lays off will be dominated by people 55+.

He could have picked a company everyone hopes will win as IDM and IFS or pick the one that has already won. Intel is crazy cheap based on last metrics if it ever recovers.

There is a reason he is called the Oracle of Omaha and picked TSMC versus Intel. Jokes on Pat, Intel and it’s investors and Us government

Intel has to petition the U.S. Government for subsidies to help them stay competitive, while The Oracle of Omaha willingly invests billions in Intel’s competition.

How sad.

He’s the oracle of Omaha.

Where have you been? He’s the most successful investor of all time.

My guess is that he invests in companies with sustainable competitive advantages. It is hard to compete with TSMC due to the massive economy of scale advantages. Intel is going to aim for just 2nd place even with huge stacks of government cash. Even Intel doesn’t think it can overthrow TSMC.
