Any kind of discrimination in work place is not allowed. Why is age discrimination allowed?
Folks over 40 /50 need a job for health care insurance and to take care of mortgage and children’s education. Why are they firing folks over 40 and 50?
@jp They are just cheaper. Probably making half as much.
It was around 90 excluding secondary IDs on 6/17.
Under my director 6 of the 8 people laid off are over age 40, and 5 of those are over 50. They are moving a college hire over to replace 2 of the over 50 people. Good luck with that.

Some people say they 200 employees were laid off.
Management finally figured out that managers and their teams were underperforming while claiming their Jira board was full.
I was laid off in 2023 while managing 35 staff and many core platforms. I laughed when it was obvious there was age bias going on and productive managers were let go.

Impacted are the BTO, GOC and some other areas. Messaging was robotically terrible.
@a7 we're being told x90 - x100 based on performance or job elimination.
What's the total number? It's odd to see this on a Tuesday.
