Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Worse every day

I swear this place gets worse every day. It does not matter who you talk to, audit, risk, commercial, wealth or the random person in the kitchen the complaints and misery never end. The reasons are all over the place and true from everything I have seen and experienced. I hope they start fixing the culture. They won’t. They are not hiring when people leave. Makes you wonder if they want to be sold.

“Hey hen, I got an idea. I’ll let you buy my den and i’ll tell everyone you win and I’m leaving. For a a while, anyway. You can blend my den with your house; and you tell everyone you’re keeping control and give my guys some BS titles while your hens appear to really run things. Then i’ll come back in and, and, and, I promise i’ll keep your legacy alive, and i’ll take over from there. All your chickens will be FINE, I promise. I’ll even vet all the roosters. I just need you to go away forever, post on LinkedIn about all your hope and faith and stuff, and pretend this conversation never happened. Just leave me all the eggs going forward. Deal?”

Love ya, Fox

@ck SunTrust bought BB&T with BB&T’s money. That will go down in history as a brilliant move by Bill.

Suntrust culture at its finest. This is why Suntrust sought a buyer in 2019. They just had no idea they would find a country bumpkin as d-mb as King. No I’m not HBBT I’m HSTI and I’ve watched Bill do this a long time.

I agree. I’ve been with the bank 10+ years and it’s really the first time I’ve started to feel stupid for staying. Unless bonus and merit increase are great then I’m out. It’s apparent to all employees at this point the bank doesn’t care about anything but ROTCE of 15%.

I’ actually participated in an exit interview and I can assure you that there are people who genuinely want to fix the culture. Unfortunately they don’t have the power to do so, and those with the power to fix it could care less that the culture stinks. Therefore the culture remains broken. And in my opinion, it has reached the point of no return. The culture broken beyond repair and this is one of the many reasons I chose to get out.
