Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

If you’re let go, consider yourself lucky

It’s 100% confirmed that Associates in the US and India are being let go this week. Which day depends on your team and location. Those left behind will wish they were let go. The confusion, toxicity, and expected hours you’ll be working is going to get even worse. Much much worse.

Remember that this is all being done to reduce costs and try to raise the stock price. Dont blame yourself. Take the money and run.

@k6 I wish it was just rumors, but I heard from a director that it most probably starts from Nov 11th(today), he said that after terminating several contractors. A month ago a Sr Director in the lift hinted about the layoffs in November(I knew him for over 6 years)

It’s always just rumours on here. Take no notice. Too many bitter ex employees.

@jj Hate all you want. Crum Lynne excellence center needs attention. Empty building. Hardest worker are in the mailroom who show up to work each and every day, while the manager walks a local park on his WFH. A lot of tenure in that center that needs a face lift. Half the people in the office carry no degree.

@js But the GCC was suppose to save TransUnion not destroy them. Cartwright is the revenge of the Sith. When he walks around Chicago 555 building does the Evil Empire song play. Lay off US workers and keep DJ Joe LOL.

@hw Just US again? Chicago, Canada, Crum Lynne, PA (hope some people I know are cut) its a frigging call center of excellence - too many manager, directors and team leads running that place.

Venkat townhall already hinted about GCC layoffs during his last visit. Many GCC folks already leaving this product company. What about US folks and other regions ? I heard many of them are leaving too

@f7 Sorry for your situation. I was in same 2 years ago. Something is waiting for better. My team including director got laid off but after few months same director paid back with contract position in next few months his contract converted into full time. Now he is enjoying full time position for same department with new contractors.. How corrupted this organization, Director backstabbed his entire team to save himself.

@OP The 2025 job market is bad. good luck. 2026 doesn't look very promising either. We are headed to much troubled times. Make sure you have bachelor degrees and certifications. Today's job market make sure you are culture fit, assessment test, 3-6 interviews and ghosted. I felt this pain already and the pain and stress is unreal.

So when you have that meeting invite that most likely will occur later today with manager and HR will be left out because that will be the surprise. Severance, cobra and resume helper. Nobody reached out to me when I was laid off, my colleagues but people I reported too and worked with I heard nothing - nobody has your back and I hope you all have a support system as I did with family and friends because you will find out when that phone call ends who really matters in life.

New point of views will hit you. No loyalty, don't care, no two week notice all this what is expected from us when we leave a company.

@ex I have a few hopefuls that I like to see laid off from Crum Lynne as well. Praying for that moment. I am with you, I want to see other families impacted like mine. A lot of those people don't even have college degrees that work there. It will be very difficult.
