The big question in my mind is how long can Boeing stay in business when they can't make a positive return on investment in anything they do? Seems like they have sold all their assets just to last this long.

Just remember who sold you down the river the last time. The 751 an if you think this will be different stop drinking the Boeing blue in the dog house. They will sell you out again.

What Boeing did was nothing less than premeditated mu---r...acceptable loss of life for executive pay. And after the first airplane crash, so was what the FAA did. So it's inappropriate to use the word "accident" here. Shame this company is still operating and can't believe there are people still there worrying about union contracts.

We live in a time when the worst people in this company and in this country think they are above the law and can do whatever they want for their sole personal benefit. Time to do something that stops it.

Lots of nepotism and corporate pr-------es at Boeing. Best to avoid Boeing if you are a quality person. Will be much happier and do way better elsewhere.

Never have so few low life, greedy, corrupt individuals done so much damage to a once great engineering company and ki-led so many people in the process too. Correct, there won't be another new Boeing airplane and 777X orders will never turn into 777X deliveries. Just more smoke and mirrors for executive wealth generation.

A former Boeing intellectual property manager is asking a federal judge to
Award him between $750,000 and $1.75 million,
for emotional distress damages at the close of the trial over retaliation against
speaking up against the toxic treatment of older workers.

Negotiations, Ha. Nothing will change but the pay, the song remains the same.
Corrupt and Criminal, --- same as it ever was...

Union has the upper hand this time. Record inflation, back orders growing. 737 Northline and 777X production restarting 2024. They won't want any interruptions in my opinion. The last 8 year contract was a measly 4 percent in 8 years plus COLA. It was down right robbery. There will be a strike most likely and offer will start at 40% and we will settle at 25%. 10% immediate and 5% every year for three more years. No more pension ever. 401k Match will most likely go to 10% on first 10% to match salary. Anything lower and I will leave company in a heartbeat after. Just my opinion. Time to fight 2024. Get your strike fund ready.

How dare you @cgxb+1pv96Qgl suggest that our very best go back to McDonald’s.
We desperately need the fast food mentality to flip the planes out the door.

There will be order announcements and maybe even a new airplane announcement. These sort of announcements raise stock price. But these airplane orders are unlikely to ever be built and delivered. And there's no way Boeing could ever successfully develop a new airplane and make a profit by out sourcing engineering and manufacturing. The aerospace industry isn't like most industries. And keep in mind the executives now making these grandiose announcements and reaping the profits on their stock options won't be around when it becomes fully apparent this was BS.

I doubt the law will ever bring accountability to the corrupt coots. Best to do whatever is needed to take care of yourself and not depend on any company or country.

Corrupt coot’s will be leaving when the indictments are handed down this January.

New airplane...hahaha! Boeing's days of new airplanes are over. Boeing can't even accomplish a modification of an existing airplane. Haven't they been working on 777X for close to 15 years now? Is their old corrupt coot CEO due to leave with his huge severance package soon?

Don't count out Texas for the next new plane. That's where the "middle of the market" build was going to be.
Either way, it won't be in Renton. The facility does not support the requirements for an up to date manufacturing/assembly facility

I believe Boeing has already decided to build the next new airplane in Charleston South Carolina.

So the obvious threat will be we will build the next airplane in South Carolina, which they are already planning to do anyways.

Which is the reason they want to pick a fight with the union to justify moving more work to South Carolina and try to avoid tax liabilities based on tax concessions they were given to keep working in Washington state.

This company has no morals, will not be surprised at the majority of engineering will be done in India. For the same reason, they will pick a fight with SPEEA, in order to justify moving engineering work to India.

Boeing executives know the company can't make a profit on anything anymore. Boeing is selling whatever they can for cash flow generation for executives bonuses and severance packages. Correct, these airplane sales will never be built but there's no downside for the executives as the airline liability will be wiped clean in bankruptcy court.

Whatever they offer, rest assured, that the USELESS / GUTLESS IAM will accept it on their knees.

Boeing may threaten opening facility in the business-friendly state and move production out. Pushing on Boeing too hard right now would not be in the best interests of IAM. Just saying. I have never have a 5% annual increase in my life (I am not represented). But that what I would do: Just agree with IAM now and start building new factory somewhere else and be done with the factory by the next contract negotiations. It is simply business. Offer VLO or to relocate with lower salary. if IAM leadership will be too stubborn, the jobs may go away...

Who cares...only fools and crooks at Boeing. Heck, Boeing is still selling 777Xs declared uncertifable by FAA years ago. But who knows...maybe they are redesigning it...like 737Max, Starliner, AF1, USAF tanker and other project big money losers. Sad.
