Layoffs have started due to their goal to eliminate the first line technician position. The other smart move they made was also to fire these first line techs, many who have 5-20 years experience, and pay new techs with zero experience substantially more money. Sounds like another great plan by diebold /sarcasm

@jg I'm genuinely sorry to hear this. Especially after your extensive time with the company.
I left a job of 33 years to come to this company & they were very aware of it. When I first started, it was the tail end of Covid & within a few weeks of being there , I heard they were doing a layoff. I was really concerned at the time, but the head of my group said that our group was so small & there was no way they were going to lay anyone in the group off. There was only 3 of us that worked full-time & 1 that only worked a few days a week. The head of the group had already told me she'd been working 70/80 hours a week before I was hired in because it took them so long to hire someone to replace the last person that had left .Our group had to cover 2-10 hour shifts a day -( only 1 of us covered each shift) -7 days a week -365 days a year.
On 3/27/26, I was 1 day shy of my 4th year when I got a call after finishing my 10 shift @ 2:30am.
I was asked by my manager if I available to talk privately.First thing he started with was "I have some bad news."
I was basically told that they were "revamping things". I was shocked. I asked him if they were doing away with the whole group & he said he wasn't at liberty to say.
In four years, I never missed a single day. End of each year, the head of my group would have to remind me," hey you have PTO you need to use: when do you want to take it?"
I worked for anyone in my group ,any time they asked:Swapped days without complaint. They also offered me severance package. 🙄
I'm 56. This was really sh---y.
Worked for diebold for almost 12 years never said no to overtime never said no to training did my job had hundreds of happy bank managers and other techs from alarm companies they promised us in 2024 that as long as diebold was in business we had jobs then on April 14th they let me and 1100 others go I trained techs worked holidays and days no one else wanted to work my thanks was a short severance package 1 hr to clean out my truck
Worked there from 2003 until 2016. Left on my own for a better opportunity after several years of seeing a sharp culture shift by upper management. No longer felt like as a dedicated manager I was appreciated after I applied for an open RSM position and never even received an interview or even a phone call. Left for an RSM position elsewhere and glad I did.
CROOKS, should be investigated by the SEC for the Stocks Fraud in 2023. But the paid several big bosses hush money to avoid big fines. Vanished all of the stock purchase shares and existing shares of all employees. According to CEO Octavio, it was a “necessary move”. But they walked out with all the money despite insignificant losses to claim they were just as hurt as everyone else. DN is a terrible company to work for.
Got laid off last year after 36 years. Doesn’t sound like the culture has changed any. Was a good company years ago.
They did the same thing to my mother. She worked for them for 10 years, was passed up for every promotion opportunity. Was told she would get trained to get a promotion, never happened. Got called into the office on Wednesday and sent him in an Uber with a 90 day severance package. What a terrible company.
Very true. I gave the company 11 years working 12 in and 2 off with a minimum of 10 OT hours EVERY pay period for 11 years. Was a key administrator, team leader, security czar, and trained dozens of techs who went on to work first line and tr positions. Worked up to 1600 atms.per year. Never written up, never a.bad review. Laid off.this week. 4 years before retirement. Thanks.alot DN
