Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Big Layoff Coming Fall 2024

My supervisor told me a big layoff is coming and the product that I support is decommissioning soon. Therefore, don’t be surprised if I call for a meeting with HRBP to discuss the Exit. I was told it could happen between August 19th to Late November 2024. My supervisor stated It would be a miracle if I survived Thanksgiving.

Make sure you save copies of all your annual reviews. CVS likes to say layoffs are performance related on your severance paperwork.

Hearing about store closures as well. As in new closings, not anything related to existing closures.

@jdc+1tQsobAi This "Supervisor" is a figure of speech. Its a way higher up title.

You do realize supervisors are never in the know about major organizational changes, right?

What product do you support? If you can’t say, can you at least say whether you are Aetna or CVS?

Begin by documenting all your accomplishments and updating your profiles on LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, and CareerBuilder. You’ll find a better company to work for next. Avoid focusing solely on Fortune’s Best Companies list. There are countless companies not listed on Fortune that offer a great work-life balance and positive work culture. There’s no need to endure the constant fear of layoffs and job loss BS.
