Thread regarding Phillips 66 layoffs

Merit raises are right around the corner!

I can't wait to see what my rating is, and I really look forward to waiting till July to get my increase. It is fun waiting and getting another opportunity to have a second touch point with my boss instead of getting my raise at the beginning of the year.

@13x This is utter nonsense. Please stop spewing these lies.

Hearing from people in HR that Andr3z is advocating canceling the raises this year. Logic is that the job market is relatively weak and he feels like he can get away with it.

@tn You must work in HR or Refining. Is there a chance this is Andr3z? M@rk will probably double your pay.

I usually just slipped my boss a few bills for a good rating!

@jb the only bump I get from my supervisor is of the you know what kind when I’m bent over.

@hp right? Continuous feedback my shapely a-s. If I'm lucky I get about 10 minutes twice a year to talk about goals. Once when they send out a "get your goals in by the end of day tomorrow" email, and once when they send out a "summarize your achievements by end of day tomorrow so I have something to talk about in the meeting" email.

I know some supervisors are a lot better about it than others, but that's been my experience with about half of my supervisors over my time with P66/COP.

I actually prefer mid year merit raise because most SGL bumps occur after bonus season in March. The company usually puts you at 95% of midpoint so the July bump give you a nice raise!

You actually get a touch point with your boss?

You’re still getting a raise on a yearly basis. Why does the timing matter? The only hit you took was the first delay of 6 months. Now there is no difference. 12 months is 12 months whether it’s Feb to Feb or July to July.

I’m guessing your boss isn’t looking forward to that second touchpoint to hear you whine about little things when we have a lot bigger things to worry about as a company.

Hey, at least it's not tied to PERFORMANCE anymore. Perish the thought!
