Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

My time at Citi is almost over

And I have to say, I'm looking forward to watching what happens next. Not in a mean way. Well maybe a little. They mistreated me for years and seeing them struggle, make bad decisions, slowly fall apart, it will be enjoyable after everything they put me through.

Employees sharing knowledge, information, skills and solutions only makes the employees easily replaceable, fungible and a Layoff target.

And so, employees are in survival mode and do NOT share or divulge, knowledge, information, skills and solutions.

It's a jungle out there. NEVER forget this.

It's Darwinian and survival of the fittest. It's us or me versus them. So why help anyone else, including the company that's looking to Fvck Me Over one way or another???!!! Whether it's through the constant threats of layoffs, threats of getting fired, NO or peanuts salary increases, etc..

Damocles' Sw0rd is always hanging above the employees' heads at any employer.

Nothing will change at Citi until they at least to pretend to care about their employees. You can't attract and retain good talent (used to be a company goal everyone was measured on) unless you treat that talent with decency. When people care about their jobs, feel valued, not stressed and are allowed growth, they will stay and do great work. Otherwise you attract desperate, sub par talent who are always looking at the door. They don't care about the quality of work and will do the bare minimum to get a paycheck. they'll withhold information and it becomes a "them vs us" scenario. Then it's a continual revolving door with no subject matter expertise. And you also end up with a never ending cycle of consent orders. Any decent company knows that you are only as good as you're employees. And here we are. Citi is a cesspool.

Underneath the employees' Schadenfreude are thousands of current and former employees who intentionally withheld knowledge, solutions and information at work as well as did the bare minimum work because why help a MotherFvcker who's Fvcking You Over ??

Employees doing the above contribute to Citi NOT improving and NOT gaining an advantage over its competitors. Citi remains stuck being financially, technologically and operationally dysfunctional and forever FUBAR beyond all help and hope. Citi is a terminal patient.

And so on some level, Citi Does care.

Schadenfreude.

Normal reaction, above all if your managers treated you like trash.

Left Citi 6 months ago, just waiting for the dismissal of my former manager. His Asian gang cannot protect him forever.

Hope he will have to leave Western Europe and return to his dirthole in Pune.
