Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Possible restructuring?

Word on the street is that CVS is potentially getting rid of the operations manager position, and making people go up to Store manager or down to shift supervisor. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

@j8 Why? It doesn’t seem like a very well thought out idea. It may end up causing people to just up and quit. Does anyone realize that?

If this is true, this will backfire badly. Eliminating positions is a bad idea. Because I'm guessing most people will just go down to shift, especially if pay stays the same. Perhaps if CVS treated employees better, they wouldn't be so hard up for store managers.

Ye its true. Leadership decided this last month to start from July first week. Impacted colleagues will be informed end of June

@a7 Is this company-wide? Or just select stores? And when is it rolling out?
