Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Monday August 11: Biggest day at Ford ever?

From what I'm hearing, the unveiling will make us all proud to work for this company. Regardless of your minor gripes with work policy, it's time to come together.

@ew Too slow to pick up on the fact “STFU” being comedic flair. Takes everything literal. Can’t pickup on nuance. Low and slow pattern matching. Your tenure at ford precedes you

@fq this is reactive abuse at play. Amber heard behavior?

Covert smear campaign then blame for overt call-out. People that know, know. You make a joke. It may be pulled out some day as an example. I doubt you’re smart enough to be truly anonymous if the logs were pulled.

@fq you got me!!! Ahh! He’s on his period for forced labor as a new grad squandering prime neurodevelopment years at the hands of losers like you that don’t take this thing we call life as serious as me so you make a joke out of everyone and everything that try to give it a more sense of meaning for others. You’re so corny dawg

I’ve heard the opposite. Apparently, Farley improvised the whole “Model T moment” during the earnings call — it wasn’t planned, vetted, or backed by any real deliverables. Now the company’s stuck trying to support a narrative that doesn’t have substance. We’ve got a new production concept, sure, but no actual vehicles, no demos, and no clear timeline beyond a vague 2027 target. Word is, Farley’s on thin ice and pulling out all the stops to keep his job.

I retired from ford a couple of years ago. I do not and will not promote their products to anyone with the rampant and unexplainable recalls that are happening. I am embarrassed to say I worked there. I hope those of you there with integrity work to find and fix these issues to help bring Ford back to the blue oval feeling we had for years.

What are the Vegas odds on how many recall notices it'll have by the end of the year? Or how quickly it'll catch on fire?

Finally, it is coming. It is an opportunity for you to be free and readjust your career into other industries. Say goodbye to automotive and you should not go back there.

Think about it. REALLY think about it. Compare the industry, the market, and Ford Motor Company in 1908 to 2025. Think about the Ford Model T and what it brought to the market in 1908. Without a massive paradigm shift within Ford, primarily at the top, it'll be difficult for the modern Ford Motor Company to recreate a true Model T moment.

It’s time to come together? It all needs to start at the top. Executives are actively driving us apart and pitting us against each other. Farley must hate the workforce because I have no explanation for his words and actions.

I am embarrassed to tell anyone that I work for Ford. Everyone knows Ford has the worst products. Poor quality, unsafe products, outdated products, behind in technology, Ford vehicles are ugly, no innovation, overpriced, they all looked the same years after years.

Sorry, I am not proud to be a Ford employee. Waiting to retire later this year.

Billy and the “we are family” is absolutely horse sh-t. You are a number not a person. Expendable and worthless, if Boston Consulting says you are a liability and don’t fit the future plans (EVs) then booted out the door.

Farley has single handedly destroyed the enthusiasm of the.

@OP

So they are permanently rescinding RTO mandates? Otherwise, zero chance of coming together over anything.

This launch has no chance of being successful. This company is sc--wed and the OP has got brown smears all over his nose.

@a2 Well said.

Everyday they seem to find new ways to diminish the pride we had for the company.

Being proud to work for the company involves many factors. Product, ethics, Philanthropy is part of it, but leadership and how employees are treated is another. Pride has slowly diminished since JF was announced the new CEO.
