Only sales affected by the RTO. For everyone else it's business as usual with hybrid / remote
No changes coming for the rest of the company

Michael is that you?!
Everyone else is good?! Put that company wide email out then.
Badges to get it? NO, they will monitor your laptop once it connects to the VPN. That is how they monitor it. It's easy badge and just leave.
[Quote] I'm in a Federal Non-Sales role and our VP said we will not be affected by this but, who knows... Dell likes to drop bo-b shells on a whim. Even if we ARE affected by this, my manager won't make us do that nor keep track of it. He doesn't GAF lol

Your manager may not keep track of it, however facilities will. If this turns into a company wide mandate (which it will eventually), guarantee your badge-ins will be tracked (they already do this)

Scannell is a piece of sh1t. He'll take a healthy retirement package in a few months and be gone. We really have the worst people at the top.
what about people that are too far from an office ?
Most naive thing I’ve seen on the web today and that’s saying something. 5 days RTO is coming for everyone. Time to break out the ol’ resume.
"rest of company not affected" Yeah, for now...
here is the e-mail: https://dell-sales-comms.newsweaver.com/Scannell/15a66ms34i1
Return to office, return to winning and taking share
Hi Team,
This sales force has a culture of winning and a reputation of outpacing the competition. We are the best in the business! That doesn’t come without dedicated focus, perseverance and grit. To uphold this legacy, we must continuously work at it. To grow faster than the market and take share, we must always be sharpening our edge.
The Sales floor is a unique environment that combines high energy with a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. To harness this energy and grow skills, we believe our sales teams need to be together in the office. Additionally, our data shows that sales teams are more productive when onsite.
With that in mind, starting Monday, Sept. 30, the expectation is that ALL Global Sales team members who can work from a Dell office be onsite five days a week, regardless of role. Field sellers are expected to spend five days a week with customers and partners or in a Dell Technologies office. Field sellers who can’t go into a Dell office should prioritize time spent in person with customers and partners. Remote sales team members who can’t go into a Dell office should continue to work remotely. More communications pertaining to remote workers will be sent in the coming weeks.
Yes, this is a shift from current expectations. The industry and technology are moving fast, the opportunity is enormous and we need to ensure we are best positioned to seize it. We know situations will arise when you need to work remotely. This is expected, but working remotely should be the exception rather than routine. We also know many of you have organized your lives around three days in the office and you may need some time to make new arrangements.
Global Facilities will continue to assess neighborhood capacity and will address any future needs.
When we’re not traveling to meet with customers and partners, we are in the office. When you step onto the Sales floor with all team members onsite, the energy is amazing – it’s dynamic and fast-paced. Sales managers are actively engaged on the floor, not from a distance, providing real-time feedback, guidance and support.
Our strength lies in a culture of collaborating, winning and celebrating together. As we enter a new AI world, in-person human interaction will be more important than ever.
Let's go win, outpace the competition, seize every opportunity and take share!
RtO was only sent to sales, rest of company not affected
RTO notice was indeed sent out September 26th. Will the people abide by the new notice? Who knows.
this forum is a wealth of information......NOT
75k it was 95k predicted a few weeks ago
Absolute lies about mostly remote staff being laid off. All the people I know that were laid off were hybrid and the remotes were untouched
Spreading misinformation I see. Why did most of those laid off in recent months select remote when we got to opt in? There are more changes coming to more than just sales. C-suite wants a workforce of 70,000 by this time next year. Get fu---d with your bootlicking and spreading lies to help Dell’s image.
The email was only sent to sales , rest of company is unaffected
D-mbest post ever
If you genuinely think that, I have a bridge to sell you.
