Anyone has heard of any conversation about Q3 promo that the company was supposed to start ? I wonder what all those folks who were so ecited with that meritocracy is coming back announcement are going through right now and were looking forward to be rewarded for their work.

Many 'rewards' will be given since we are doing such a bang up job of beating the competition and generating a nice return for our shareholder...
If you feel you are worthy of a raise, be sure to bring up the rewards at every business unit meeting and manager 1-1 -- make sure you give specific examples of how your contribution is directly resulting in sales, profit and taking market share.

In TD, we have been told the reward budget for promo is half the usual budget, so expect less promotion this time. Also, no stock associated with promo, only salary raise
Wake up and smell the coffee, the company is burning through the cash. Not enough heads have been cut. You want a 'reward'? Sure go ahead but two people in your department will be let go to pay for it... maybe you are the one who will be let go...
SO BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR
@iwy, lot of folks have been working their butt off for many years. so its not outrageous to expect reward. bonuses are gone as profits are gone. but rewards need to be there. for some time make dividends go to 0 and siphon the money to your employees. employees at intel have been very loyal so employees will reward the company back.

The only promo's happening are into the CPM queue.
Intel has shed just 10,000 workers... 20,000 more to go...
So, if you are waiting for a promo or 'rewards' you better have a fab full of patience 'cause you won't see jack until this company starts generating real profits again...
(and I don't mean the fake kind of profits filled with non-GAAP tricks like write-offs, charge-offs, recharacterizations, extending depreciation and the like...)
