Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Phase 4 Done. Anyone know what is Phase 5?

What is phase 5? Reassess and target for more layoffs?

Be aware there's a new email sent by Citi HR that will "assess" everyone's skills. Of course, Citi will use this as a we@pon against its Employees. If you state that you have A,B and C skills Citi may transfer you to another Team/Group that you do Not want to be transferred to. The other possibilities are that your current Manager/Group/Team will simply dump more work on you. And since Citi is destitute and limited bonuses/promotions during the past year, Citi will NOT pay you for the extra work and skills, and/or NOT promote you. Why would anyone in their right mind tell Citi what skills or extra skills they have ??? The new "Assessment" Skills email from Citi is Citi's way of trying to find out what new or extra skills Employees have that the latter are keeping secret. Save those skills for a new paying Employer (i.e. NOT Citi). What I mean by Skilling Up and then using and giving those skills to my new External (NOT Citi) Employer, is NOT doing the Useless BULL$HIT Citi Degreed or LMS Learning Management System training/courses. Obtain Skills and training on your own, outside of Citi. There are thousands of online and in-person training programs and courses from numerous legitimate colleges and universities (NOT the scams For Profit ones like Corinthian, Apollo, etc.). Why should you give skills to Citi that YOU Paid For AND acquired / learned on YOUR OWN TIME ??? FVCK Citi !!!

Risk Management had its Townhall meeting today. They said that "trimming", the Bull$HIT euphemism for Layoffs will continue for the next 2 years. Even though they only talked about Phase 4, they implied there WILL be a Phase 5.

Citi leaders plan to cut lower levels of workers and replace them with AI. But AI won’t be ready for 10 years.

If anyone wants to know or see a pattern of when Layoffs are done, this may or may not be correct but in 2023 some of my co-workers started disappearing because they got Laidoff when they stopped replying about when they will complete their parts of projects. The Layoffs happened in January 2023, March 2023, August 2023, October 2023, November 2023. As other posters have already posted and informed everyone on this Site, it seems like Citi takes a break between March and early Fall to ascertain how much money it has in reserves for Severance for the next round of Layoffs And also, which employees are remaining, who Citi wants to keep or Not keep. by Anonymous
