Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Is Truist worst bank to work at?

According to Glassdoor.com the answer is a resounding Yes! Truist has the lowest review rating, recommend to a friend and CEO approval ratings.

If you are thinking about working at Truist, just say No! And if you’re a current teammate, best to get out. This bank plain out su-ks to work at! Competitor banks have better cultures

Ok. Here is the good, the bad and ugly!

The good: Truist has great benefits - 4% 401k match plus a pension.

The bad: Useless layers of middle management. Micro management in the form of badge swipe monitoring for those unlucky enough to have to report to an office and RTO policies that vary from manager to manager so there is zero consistancy which causes resentment.

The ugly: Boys club mentality. The entire company is riddled with favortism and nepotism. Insurance costs are based on size/weight.

You have been warned ⚠️

It wasn't at first. As the merger progressed I began to notice people being lied about, setup, and framed. I still don't know why the people doing this to teammates were doing it, to make a name for themselves, some evil ritual they do, or just corruption on full display. I view the people who do this as grown versions of Beavis.

I hoped that they would be removed by the natural events of any merger, but according to what the teammates say and have gone through, all the people you would want to have are gone and the ones who remain are the Beavis Legions. It's very sad because this company could've been great, all the right ingredients were there, it just turned into what it is. It can be fixed, I don't think those with the power want that though. It is very strange.

Truist bank has poor management, they micromanage their employees, not enough training, not a good environment and very stressful to work at, the pressure is constant.

Truist is a horrible bank to work for period. Employees are toxic and management does not care about you. Do not work here! You deserve better.

Jason, we asked you nicely to leave. The adults have work to do, so go find another LDP to enroll in and start over. Stop posting. You just sound bitter at this point.

They have laid off thousands of American employees in the last year then outsourced their jobs to India and the Philippines.

What have they done with the savings? Stock buy backs. ZERO reinvestment in the actual business.

Oh and then King BillyBob decides he needs three brand new corporate jets so he can fly to Europe. $70 million so he can rub elbows in Davos more easily.

Truist will crash and burn, then get bought. Who will benefit? BillyBob, Beauzo and the others wearing golden parachutes. The rest of us will suffer.

I recently retired from Truist. Thank God. I've never seen such a mess. I'm extraordinarily happy to be gone and I feel deep sympathy for those that remain in this shi+show. I hope all of you can find a way to get out of this idiocy, whether by retirement or otherwise.

People should get out fast - there is no sense hanging around a place you hate it’s actually ok to move on

If someone is happy in there job then it’s on them to become miserable and move on

Choice is good get to a better place or stay and make it work for you

@isr+1v3dMRHo - Why do you think Truist scores significantly less on review ratings, recommend to a friend, CEO approval on Glassdoor.com ? There are serious issues at Truist. You are part of the problem and are probably a low/mid level manager. You deserve to be fired/rifed
