Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

To C suite explain to us how you can justify your own retention bonuses!!!!

Mr. Lalljie ($2,345,000), Mr. Norden ($1,190,000), Mr. Hermalyn ($726,000) and Mr. McCullough ($726,000), to be paid in equal quarterly installments
OUTRAGEOUS! How can you justify this? IC got 6%, executive a/c got half of that and SSA got totally skunked. Yet, c suite lied to us by spinning the narrative and get these retention bonuses. Liars.

The best way to organize a walk out without retaliation is to indeed, walk out. The 2024 bonus plan was to keep people tied to this company and they are kings at manipulation and gas lighting. Stop pouring yourselves into this, focus on you and your family, and dedicate time and energy into finding something else.

This is absolutely abhorrent. The entire workforce at 2U should go on strike about this. They should be taking a pay cut, if anything. The company is hemorrhaging money and every dollar that they reward themselves is money they could be putting back into the business to create value for shareholders who have NOTHING to show for their investments. The blatant greed is appalling.

@xlp+1rYZOu4v Out of all the suggestion to push back on leadership, this makes the most sense I think.

Yeah, it's sad but unless you're comfortable with a nasty conversation from HR or you're literally ready to quit, I wouldn't post on slack. I would say the best course is to set up time with your Director or VP, or have your manager do so on behalf of your team to have them demand some answers.

ID: @ipc+1rYZOu4v Honestly I am afraid to due to retaliation. I have learned after being at this company for a while that speaking up is unwelcome and risky, unfortunately. However, you are welcome to put it in Slack if you wish.
