First of all, this is a place to come and vent. If you're shocked to see posts by people who are sick and tired of TR and its cr-p on a layoffs page then that's on you. Second of all, nobody owes you an explanation. Everybody's life story is different, and those who are complaining but are staying have good reasons for it. It could be family-related, it could be health-related, or a myriad of other things that are keeping people stuck here. In any case, it's none of your business. And third of all, try and develop some empathy. It's not going to hurt you and it'll make you a better person to be around - online and offline.

I think some of us are just mad from all the things we have to do on top of the things we already do and do ask themselves why they stay. No end in sight, more meetings, more reports, more training. We shouldn't be mad at each other but at the people in charge. No sense cursing each other out.
I’m waiting to get fired so I get severance…hoping they ask for volunteers again :)
@ion+1ekm4Lif You're right. We all see the writing on the wall, and we all want to time our departures for the most benefit. Nothing wrong with that, esp when compared to exec salaries and benefits. But if you're staying, you're putting up with a lot of sh_t, and venting to others having the same experiences is helpful. You know you're not the only one.
Depending on the location you are in and starting date, I think people are hanging on for the freeze of a pension happening end of next year and/or year end bonuses. That noted, If I was younger, I would have probably left already. Not a lot of people knocking on my door at my age.
Empathy my a-s, bi--h. I work at TR too. It's not that easy and we both feel stuck. Don't need to ask to see that.
