Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Locked out of laptop but still haven't signed my notice of termination which is in my VMware Outlook

I'm kind of in a predicament, what am I supposed to do now?

I thought that was whole point of making sure your Workday personal email was up to date.

Well ... I'd be calling HR, not posting lame questions here.

But then if they call you a loser like you doing to others here, what then??

They’re going to mail the termination notices you received to your home email address since you cannot access them through VMware anymore.

I got the termination letter. I was able to use by computer but not authenticate. I tried running Hub but it would not login. Next thing I know my computer was reset and I was locked out of it.

So, I know of few people that were let go and checked their Windows\Domain IDs, they were deactivated, looks like they started processing, if you have received a termination letter.

Did you receive a termination letter? if not, it could be simply MDM compliance issue."

Oooh, someone is butt hurt. Locked out of a laptop belonging to a company you no longer work for isn't much of an issue now is it.

As long as you are on the payroll, you could have access to basic communication tools, Slack and email, or learning tools so they can learn for then further employment.

As for me, I do have an offer and know many that don't.

Besides all of that the word is "Compassion", It doesn't hurt to be kind. I know you are a random Internet stranger and so am I. You don't owe anything to anybody. I do hope you never will be in this situation where you don't have access the to basic information that you need, but ask yourself if you were in this position and ppl(sure random person on Internet) were to make fun of you, how would you feel?

Hop on your personal laptop and go to indeed.com. That's what you do. Happy Christmas.

This is a serious concern. Some of us didn’t sign as we wanted to take time to review. There was no warning that we’d lose access today and no verbiage stating the letter had to be signed by a certain date. This is a terrible transition with absolutely unbelievable mishandling. So F y’all who are being a&&hats about it.

@ovg+1pPQkAQ1, cool, thanks a lot. Yeah, I can log in. I didn't have the login.Broadcom URL on hand.

I still don't have access to my termination letter, but I guess that's not important or necessary.

@ibp+1pPQkAQ1 - I lost access today as well. But I can still access the HR portal with my VMWare ID. when you created the first login in late October, it created an Okta customer account using your VMWare email ID. Go to login.Broadcom and try logging in using your VMWare ID and VMWare PW. It should work.

@imf+1pPQkAQ1, nope, I don't have access to the HR migration portal or the Integration Portal apps. It was set up using my VMware email. And I don't access to any documents such as the Exiting Employee FAQ, so I don't even know where to return my laptop to.

Also, I was under the impression, that you had to sign the notice of termination letter in order to receive your severance.

Anyway, I'll ask my manager to see if he can help me out. I'm not too concerned, I'm sure it will get sorted out eventually.

Can you access the HR migration portal from your personal machine? If yes then not signing the doc doesn’t make any difference. I got to see HR migration tile after I signed the doc. Might be coincidence. Others could see it before. So I don’t think signing made any difference.

I locked mine, but will unlock it tomorrow.

Keep sarcasm out for a bit please, there are people with genuine issues, if you can provide an helpful/useful answer that would be great. a bit of compassion won't hurt.
