Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

"A culture of upward or outward"

Stack ranking is the law of the land & work-life balance is officially out the window, per TK's statements around employee comp at today's all-hands. To wit, "if you don't want to take that call after 6pm or you don't want to [regularly work thru the night to] help a team in India or Europe," you can expect to be managed out. If you're not particularly interested in climbing the corporate ladder (like, you like being an individual contributor & don't want to be a manager), you can expect to be managed out. Get promoted or get screwed.

TK repeatedly calling for "commitment" & "accountability" sounds rather hollow when you understand you'll be pitted against your teammates in CSG's corporate Hunger Games throughout the year.

I haven’t heard him say he’s data driven again after his introduction. Perhaps he’s realized that’s not true

I can’t decide whether the mandates and bonus cuts are only out of cruelty/indifference to employees or also cluelessness. Does he really believe the world can just go back to “normal” and that remote employees aren’t productive? He’s making statements of ultimate truth without anything to back it up rather than “it’s just true.”

“ For anyone left waiting for severance, I think that ship has already left the dock.”

Pay no mind to that son of a B*TCH. I’ve seen the severance agreement, it clearly states if you sign it, you get $$ and benefits in exchange for not suing the company. Again, SEVERANCE PLANS ARE NOT GOING AWAY, STAY AT YOUR JOB AND WAIT FOR THE SEVERANCE DO NOT QUIT! Otherwise, if severance goes away, they know they will face the MOTHER OF ALL CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS!! I’M WAITING FOR MY SEVERANCE TK! HOG CALL!

"TK will have single-handedly destroyed Vista's investment."

Highly unlikely, since he follows their direction, and his actions mirror their expectations for change. So, to describe TK as a leader executing his own agenda is ridiculous. He's merely a puppet.

For anyone left waiting for severance, I think that ship has already left the dock. For those of us who are left, they'll fabricate a way to get rid of you for cause, you'll leave on your own, or you will be one of the last to go down with the sinking ship. Last one out, please turn off the lights...

Sorry, no job is worth regularly working overnight, missing family time with my children, taking a vacation without working etc. plenty of companies still believe in work-life balance and plenty of companies respect their employees. I’ll be working for the right company eventually.

TK is a joke. A narcissistic masochist who clearly gets turned on by acting like some super villain from a Marvel movie. At this point, I’m just waiting for my severance, and in the meantime TK, take your slave labor attitude and ram it up your fat *ss.

@1rds+1kRKQxDq Who said we'd take our knowledge to other companies? (that is illegal). What was said is that when the senior employees leave, the information they hold in their heads leaves with them, so TK's smoldering carcass of a company will no longer possess that knowledge to keep things running.

@fxe+1kRKQxDq "we will take our intimate knowledge of the engineering of the products with us"

Wonderful, perhaps you will find a history museum that's interested in Citrix's past.

Sabotage is an answer! But do it in the office to make sure that it is done correctly.

He is a total piece of S*T. And he’s missing a basic idea: treat your employees like dirt, and they will leave. They will have ZERO loyalty and guess what, TK? There goes Vista’s investment. We are not slaves, ASH**E.

which party about getting paid for working hurts? Everyone on this board be like “oh I have to go to work” boo hoo

Half the people here should leave. It’s just a bunch of complainers who hold themselves and others back.

It's pretty clear that he wants a skeleton staff in the U.S.. Unless you want to move to India, you don't have a future.

He said it all today, it is purely capitalistic. He will cut the BU’s as soon as they don’t perform in 18 months. Growth will be thru acquisition and further redundancies are on the way, one way or the other. He will cut anyone that questions his rational or work remotely or have 3 rating. Email him directly as we were all lead astray by bad company decisions by management and HR. His words are the company policy.

@igi+1kRKQxDq Oh, we will. And when we do, we will take our intimate knowledge of the engineering of the products with us. Much of it is not really documented, so good luck hiring new people to keep the status quo. TK will be left with an empty shell of products of which nobody understands enough to keep them functioning. Our customers are well aware of this, so they will be leaving with the remaining senior employees. In the end, TK will have single-handedly destroyed Vista's investment.

This company won't even exist in a few years. Who would want to work here or stay here, working for that id--t?

And if you're remote, not in sales, you have no career path. Even if you've always been remote. You just aren't as valuable.
