Thread regarding Alphabet Inc. (Google) layoffs

More layoffs end of March ?

March closes the fiscal year, and we must do the financial quarterly report.

Rumors are that Google devices divisions will be highly impacted again.

Now, with Fitbit, smartphones, and home devices as a single unit, I am wondering who will go.

Again, where in @OP does it say anything about layoffs in April, you twit?

Good lord this site is overrun by d-mb fools.

No no no

The topic here is layoffs be the end of March.

That was proven to be false so instead of taking the L, they are trying to move the goalposts.

Nice try but your logic skills are terrible.

@boxz said Q2 FY2024. @doum/you questioned boxz.

Some trauma on your brain that can not see reference of the post.

@Mavf+1rkBmgg0

The OP said two points:

  1. That March ends the fiscal year,
  2. There will be layoffs at the end of March

Point 1 is demonstrably false. Point 2 is also false, as nothing happened in terms of layoffs the last two weeks of March.

So we are in the middle of April, and there are layoffs this week, and somehow you are claiming vindication? Did you suffer a traumatic brain injury?

I can't say that there will never be layoffs. But now both of @OP's statements are false:

  1. There were no end of month large layoffs,
  2. March is not when Alphabet's fiscal year ends.

Anyone downvoting this reply is an imbecile.

Facts aren't relative.

The fact is OP asserted that the end of the fiscal year is March.

The fact is, OP is flat out wrong.

The fact is, OP or some other party is trying to push the issue.

Give. It. Up.

Q2 is april to june. OP and person posting Q2 can be different.

Facts, truth and troll is always like 'to everyone their own'.

The entire premise of @OP is: There will be layoffs at the end of March, because that is the end of the fiscal year.

After several comments refuting the March fiscal year end thesis, someone realized the gig was up. But they still seek ways to keep the troll up.

So the troll thinks, "ok, I'll post a quick correction." Behold, @hzfl+1rkBmgg0.

Leaving aside the fact that Q2 is technically April, it is clear we aren't dealing with an insider, but a desperate troll.

Dude, it is established fact that Alphabet's fiscal year ends at the end of December, not March. There is no chance "they are right" about that. So what, exactly, should I prepare for?

Take it easy... take it easy! This is rumor site. Some spread rumors and others make rumors. You are troll vs I told ya. That's all the consequemces for them. You better think about how are you prepared if they are right?

Wrong. The assertion was there would be layoffs in March, based on the (completely false) premise that March is the end of the fiscal year.

It is reasonable to ask those making those id--tic assertions what consequences they are prepared to face if they are wrong.

Your bizarre babble about pseudo code is just nonsense.
