You’ll never get ahead. The few promotion opportunities that exist usually go to those who are skilled at office politics. The work is exhausting, the environment is mostly toxic and unhealthy in its competitiveness, and you probably won’t learn anything particularly new. You’ll work your a-s off, and when they let you go, you likely won’t ever find out the real reason. The truth is, there usually isn’t one but the bottom line.

I have a completely different experience, I have owned my career with autonomy and dignity. Sad that we are in this phase but I am rewarded for my contributions.
