Or at least my morale is very low. I'm trying to think of what management could do to boost morale before it's too late? Otherwise, if this does not happen, my opinion is that this will unfortunately become a mediocre place that will continue to sink deeper and deeper.

at least #weareNOTexxonmobil :-)
I just come in to work on time, do my days job, eat lunch, go to the bathroom, back to work, then clock out on time to get to my vanpool so I can get back home. Rinse and repeat until vacation time. Get back from vacation, do my copy and paste into my PMP and submit. Hopefully after 25 or 30 years on the job, I retire financially well off and move the he-l out of the United States to a nicer place on earth where I can enjoy my company pension, retirement savings and social security income.
It used to a funhouse and now its full of evil clowns.

How can morale be low? All the advertisements and LinkedIn posts show overjoyed people (all high-pots or actors, by the way) with perfect work-life balance and really neat hobbies. What they don't show is people who can think beyond their jobs, respond to adversity and produce under stress. I guess those latter qualities were old-school boomer traits ?!?
RM here. Nobody cares about your morale anymore, you're all a dime-a-dozen, we don't care if you quit, we'll replace you easy enough. If you quit we can bring in more diversity types.
The promoting of the "woke" crowd has been going on for years. CVX kept it quiet. With the last layoff round, it broke out into the open. Management published the list of people and what new job they had. It was easy to see who was a HiPot and who was just cannon fodder for the next "transition".
Low moral is why we need Go Texan Day!
I see HR has been through here to complete their upvote/down vote sweeps for the morning.
Perhaps they can make another diverse and inclusive rap video to boost morale.
You people have been complaining about morale since this website started many years ago. Leave.
Watching MW strip the workforce beyond the limit was hard. Now he’s reaping the benefits of the sky high stock price, including huge bonuses, all while not growing the operation in the US or contributing to American energy independence. Execs are stripping the value of Chevron’s long term prospects to hit stock price targets for absurd bonuses. Their compensation, which is largely stock, is based on stock price performance. MW will take his winnings into retirement around 2025, and we’ll be left with the husk of what was once a great company.
We used to be so happy at work, right? These days people sort of mope around like zombies. Waiting for their work from home days off.
I absolutely agree with the posters here. Morale is also as ive ever seen it. Executive management havw destroyed the morale of the company and desperately need to do something before its too late. Cut out the constant layoffs and churn that have exhausted the employees. Show some care for the employees instead of the dividend for once.
MW doesn't care about your morale. Just work hard so he can fund his bonus and pay the dividend.stop complaining, just work and shut up.
OP it would improve my morale if they would fire your sorry a$$
Expat here making boku dollars and I think about the cvx exit strategy every day. Cvx is barely tolerable. OP there is only one solution to cheer up employees. We all know what that is.
Absolutely , unless there is a major management shake out within a year there will be no way from the pit that MW and his woke cohorts have driven the company into.
