Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Time to take the conversation beyond this message board

Short of quitting, none of us here can do anything about Schwab's inhumane actions. You know who can though? The shareholders. I urge everyone to write the top 10 shareholders and let them know how Schwab treats their employees. They have the power. If they all sold their shares the stock price woukd sink like a stone. If everyone does their part we can make a real difference!

Here's the list https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SCHW/holders/

Hate to burst your bubble, but the top 10 shareholders are exactly why RTO is being pushed. They have huge holdings in everything that's being impacted by WFH.

What chatGPT prompt was used to write that letter? "Assume you are a disgruntled employee of Charles Schwab. Write a letter to shareholders telling them how miserably employees are treated. Assume you have a 6th grade education and recently had two strokes."?

@hv he’s 100% serious. He’s subject to such inhumane conditions.

Pretty sure he was joking with that letter. I found it hilarious, anyone thinking it’s a good idea in the first place likely didn’t understand the joke.

@ek You employed that African prince to write this? The bad grammar and misspellings are about on par for him.

@es It just needs to be cleaned-up. The intention and general theme is good. Not everyone was a communicationa major though.

@dw
Dear sharholder,

I am writing you as a cuurent employee of the Charles Schwab Company (SHCW). As a sharelholder with a large steak in Schwab, I thought you would be interested to know just how unfairly Schwab treets its employees.

As you know, the happyness of a companie's employees is the biggest facter in its success in finanicials and the stock market and I can tell you that we schwabbys definitely are not happy..Over the past few years weave seen numerous layoffs,. removal of varyous benefits and now a ridiculous policy that requires us to come into the office 4 days a week irregardless of traffic personal situations, medical issues or personal preferences. Instead of spending time with our familys and doing stuff we enjoy we need to get up supa early to sit in traffic then come to an unconfortable workspace where people spread jerms with winter colds and COVID which puts us at risk and our familys also.

As you can see this is unfair snd inhumane. We are human beans not cattle and I'm sure you agree we should be treated so. We are therefore urging you to raise the issue as stockholders and tell The schwab and Company you will no longer hold their stock if they continue to treat us like this and do things like this.

Yours truly,

Schwab employee

Start by never filling out a Glint ever again, unless they start seriously changing their tune.

# NEVER FILL OUT GLINT!

I will be using my sick time the first Monday of every month indefinitely. I sugest you do the same. A silent strike!

Blackrock and Vanguard are the ones pushing this. They won't do anything.

@a3 what an odd thing to say, is there anything you want to tell us about your past? Don't worry, we're all anonymous here friendo

@a3 actually that's exactly what we all need to do instead of complaining amongst ourselves here or giving them a piece of our mind on another meaningless glint survey.
