@a2 Wow a century LOL….., doesn’t make sense unless you are 118 years old. Maybe a decade or half a century…
If you think RTO to are working 9-5 you must be an out of touch manager. Those of us been working remote are way more productive and work much longer hours than 9-5. RTO is a desperate move based on owning too much real estate,and preserving tax benefits from state, county and city governments for being in communities needing revitalization. Nothing to do with collaboration.
@k5 the pension will be the next big item to get people to leave and I think it will work better than RTO. BR already froze the pension once, KK was adamant about it in the “merger”. It is a huge liability on the balance sheet, and since BR controls the spineless board, it would be a no brainer for that to be his next move.
Next year they will establish RTO 6 days a week to get people to quit since they’ve exhausted almost everything else (except the pension).
Here is another pro tip. Flood facilities with requests and needs for any and all little things: play the game like they are playing. Bring up everything that is wrong in team meetings, fill them up with the same things you say in here. Squeaky wheel gets the oil right? Make them pay.
@hn - best to hit "thc" pen. Have gummies available also - helps pass time.
@hn solid advice here
Pro tips to survive rto:
Find the butt kissers, avoid them like lepers personally, but target their bs in meetings.
Watch the people addicted to cigarettes, take a break any time they do at minimum.
Hit your "cbd" pen in the stall on breaks when work causes pain.
Wander around 7 minutes an hour minimum, best if taking the stairs for part.
Come in super early, take a long working lunch, leave early.
Please share your tips.
@g8 Now we all know where the troll posters are from.....
@dt RTO is indeed the issue if you were hired under the (false) pretense that your job would be remote.
Just quit and do us all a favor.
To much crying at this company. Keep moving offshore.
Please quit. Only you care.
@cn why would you not be able to say it in the office?
@ck You must be a special remote worker. The issue isnt the RTO. Its the inconsistancy of the how it's applied. Some entire teams and some teammates remain remote despite the mandate. Others have assigned desks and don't show up at all? Yes this is still happening. Others coffee-swipe and are back at home by 9:00. Some leave (they don't even sneak out) at noon. MEANWHILE other teammates are required to RTO 5 full 8-5 days - Thats the issue that has so many teammates fed-up with SunTruist. All by design I'm sure, to get people to quit.
@dc For those that want out it's "hang in there" because if they want you gone it's quit or RIF. Quit now and that's it; gamble on the RIF and you can coast on the bare minimum, get a full paycheck the whole time, get severance, and either start what you consider a better job or file for unemployment once your beyond the weeks of severance you got. At worst you get fired pre-RIF but then you can file right away.
It's win win. People happy here keep up the norm and people who want out get out. Ol' Kelly got a parachute and Billy Bob Jr will in time too so it's only fair.
Unless you're very, very close to retirement I don't understand this sentiment of just "hang in there." If but for nothing else leave for your own mental health. -Person who left a year ago
50 weeks left of swipe-n-go home.
@ck You people? Say that in office. See ya.
@cb You people in a nutshell—want a check but don't want to come to work and when you do you look like a slob.
@c9 why leave voluntarily and not get severance? Why leave money on the table? They obviously have to get rid of a lot of teammates to pay for their new executive hires. So might as well wait it out.
@a2 let’s just go back to wearing dresses and pantyhose too. Why not.
Or just leave and it is a win/win??
@ad definitely a boomer. No life remaining, can't retire. Committed to the Purple Purpose.
@a2 lol ok boomer
Kindly work 9-5 M-F as prescribed. Problem solved. Been done for over a century without sniveling
