@hld I hope you are right. He is the only person who can fix the mess made by PG.

I guess the new CEO could be Harris after this Nov layoff and Pat will move to India next year and become a vice President there.

Can't believe you guys actually work, let alone for Intel. Zero credibility. Blessed the day you were hired by Intel? NOT

If Intel can bring Lip-Bu Tan as next CEO, you guys will have a chance to rebound. But that will come with more folks leaving Intel because he will look deep inside who is doing what and his/her contribution. No matter what, a long and tough road ahead of Intel.

Email from CP:

With mixed emotions I am writing to inform you that Pat G has decided to retire. Pat has had an amazing career here at Intel and with so many great accomplishments. Blah, blah, lie, lie. We wish him the best of luck in his next adventure blah, blah, yeah, yeah, spending time with family, blah, blah. We will update you with details on Pat's replacement.

In the mean time, Intel and IFS is still in a saddle and facing economic headwinds. As cost cutting measures, please be informed of the following: As of 1/1/25, all 401K matching, sabbaticals and SPP will be suspended indefinitely. SPP contributions will be refunded Q1 of 2026. Due to the insensitive nature of Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, Intel will no longer recognize these days as Holidays effective immediately. There will be a RTO mandate for all employees (except ELT) beginning 1/1/25. Together, with your hard work, we will steer this ship back on course to be the number one Foundry in the world.

Thank you and Happy New Year's from the ELT!

This is true we have a GR10 product owner that does nothing more than forward emails and go to school. It’s incredible how little this individual does and yet still skates by kudos to their manager for not doing their job.

@spv - we need to stop doing VSPs and focus on ISPs for performance based cuts, products that are not competitive today and won't be in 3 years. We can't be doing R&D forever

@zho, a few more layoffs will do but not if they are done in the way the last one has been done - based on $$ saved.

Each manager should justify each of their employees based on the impact and skills and the impact of their teams as a whole to justify their existence. Only then it will work.

I think we will make our way thru this. We will need a few more rounds of layoffs but we'll get back on track

4Y5N is a complete failure.

We should use “lie detector” to check all managers in Intel, to see what percent are telling lies.

No matter what will happen, Pat has lost all his credibility. He needs to lay himself off as soon as possible to save Intel and his face.
