The atmosphere is toxic, manager is nervous, customers are few, the place is dirty... such is the store where I work. Sometimes it seems to me that every store is better than mine, even though I know they are all equally bad.
I wonder if there is any store that is in a little better shape, where the atmosphere is better in general?

@hjs Same thing happened to my neighbors' daughter at Amazon.
Wow these sound like some badly managed stores. I am on the exact opposite environment thank goodness and a red badge. While I do not care for or like the “style” of the way other managers manage people and issues it’s not my business. I do me and go home. Everyone has opinions I keep mine to myself and stay out of the political nonsense. Who has time to focus on others performance and what they are doing? It’s A new dawn and a new age and it’s called “Worry about protecting yourself and your own job” let others hang themselves they usually do in the end. I’ve seen karma come around a lot of times at the big M. I just sit back quietly and enjoy the show.
What is it with cosmetics people getting it on with the managers? They can do better....most for the most part.
"I work in probably the worst store"
"Hold my beer" -- almost everyone who reads this forum.
Its a modern day sweat shop. There was a girl that actually peed herself. After calling for back up and no one showed up. When she finally just left the floor they told her not to do that. Im sure someone is going to criticize this and say its not true...it is true.
The atmosphere is toxic in most stores. Managers that have beef with one another and fight passive aggressive and try to sabotage one another. Male operations managers who have affairs with mostly the cosmetic girls. Horrible managers that have their favorites and make the same pie owl so all the work. Managers that are harassing colleagues and walking around doing nothing, shopping on the clock. Did I miss anything? Trust me, my store is toxic too and it’s super dead everywhere now.
Sounds like the Ventura CA store.
