What are your thoughts on this?? With the recent cuts how long will we have jobs?

I am sorry this is happening to us, but please update that resume.
Best advice I can give at this point is what you need to do is look for another job elsewhere because one thing with the big beautiful bill there are going to be cuts because United Healthcare wants to make the billions of dollars and they’re gonna do it at whatever cost it takes and you know what that means
Big Beautiful Bill has "$1T savings" from Medicaid = $100B per year = a shade over $10B/yr less revenue for UHC. Then there's the ~10-15% of the Provider market we own with less business, so another $10B impact.
That's 5% of annual revenue, so the 20k layoff figure fits. Granted, this doesn't account for increased MA costs, crackdown on overbilling, or a DOJ-forced RX spinoff.
I would worry less about the job thing and more about millions losing their insurance or access to care.
I assume they job code us for those calls and chats since it is state specific at this time as far as I know for nc
@hj out of curiosity, if you direct a provider to chat, is that going all offshore? Is there a way to direct providers directly to an onshore rep? (Specifically speaking for NC)
I hear ya calls have gotten less and less to the on shore provider reps here for NC medicare and Medicaid.
It won’t be long before we see another layoff. I am in core services, and the navigation model is far from what it use to be. I make 50+ outbound calls a day, I am lucky if 3 people answer. Then we get yelled at because members don’t answer, you can’t make them answer and also our number has been reported as spam so it blocks.
I am really just over it, I want to be laid off. The micromanaging and the constant changing of metrics and policies is really exhausting.
