Thread regarding Disney layoffs

May layoffs

May will most likely be the teams they needed for the first two rounds of layoffs.. GHRO, HR, Compensation, Benefits ect. (Purely speculation)

The phrase 'before Summer' was used multiple times for the last round of layoffs. Which must mean the next two weeks.

Global HR Operations (GHRO) is a joke and needs to be decentralized. Hoping that happens as having to deal with them is PAINFUL

@3jnr+1mm6PipE My experience w/Disney HR was so abysmal my entire time there. Maybe 1 out of 6-7 different HR reps actually was helpful. I truly hope they get hit, gotta be the easiest gig ever.

My understanding is Europe and more international teams will be impacted in the next round. This was a rumor though and not sure which groups.

Doubt it'll be May. You can't say "most likely be" and then say it's speculation. (Purely speculation)

@hgj+1mm6PipE this is far from a one and done. revenue is abysmal and the money coming from blackrock to offset losses from going “woke” isn’t allocated to payroll, its going to executive bonuses.

chapek wanted to tell blackrock to pound salt which would’ve threatened those bonuses, and that is why he got the hook. there’s no future at disney.
