Any more info about PC/TC elimination and time frame?

I have my job description, printed up. We have till August 2. Yes we have a severance. Yes we can opt out or in. People lead is all about strategic planning, ROI, goal plans, budget planning. Better do your homework on the WIRE
They’re will be no pay out. Just changing the name to “People Lead “. Save on severance. Anyone can apply now. Nights,weekends and holidays. Will work closely to store manager. Level D.
I feel great heartfelt for the jobs in these post l am disappointed in our Company for letting our associates hearts and minds ponder rather give feedback to assure jobs are succure . I am sure this subject could be considered as our on company is not keeping in tow of the companies own Basic Belief's. Led by example.
We would get 6 weeks to decide . No we would not be do e Thursday stop listening to the people that have no idea. Stay the course and wait until Thursday. No loa that would never b approved . That was a dumb thing to say go on a loa .
Lies lies lies if eliminated you get a severance. That makes no sense to go on a loa . You are a person who obviously knows nothing and thinks this is a funny joke . A severance would be offered just like it was to all the other positions eliminated. Go troll somewhere else
Too many rumors...........making my head spin. Why would we not be offered severance pay? So Thursday is our last day? How how does a LOA work, we go out as a personal LOA? I’m confused
The positions will be gone after meeting this week.

I am a p/c and we have a market meeting Thursday Jan 31.
All PC and TC across the country have a mandatory meeting within each market. At this meeting there is a Mandatory broadcast they must watch.
All information will be announced at that time.
The meeting is scheduled for January 31st
Pc and tc gone there is not ptc nothing gone quit holding on denial will eat you alive. Walmart will not spend the extra payroll for a assistant to the mhrm. Why there is no need for that or subtance for that matter. Going away point blank..............
This is not a rumor. This is honest truth. It is currently starting with Sam's. We have been on one conference call after another conference call to prepare for the changes. So here it goes fellow PTC's of Walmart....
I'm a PTC at Sam's Club. Starting Sept. 17, "WORKDAY "will go into play. It's a system that can be accessed on any computer or TC70/40. PTC's WILL NOT have access to it. Alot of the PTC work will be turned over to the mgmt team and the leads/dept. Mgrs. They will onboard and orientate new hires, accept transfers in, do job code changes, do secondary job codes, prize and awards, time and attendance,etc etc. The hourly associates will now be able to update their own personal information on the WIRE. Files will no longer be maintained.( That's were the DocuSign system came in to place). We've been told not to print anything. It's all systematic. Record Retention was cut back to been stored in the system. Sedgwick does LOA and ADA's. If mgmt/leads need any help or have questions, they will have a team called People Solutions to assist them thru Chat or email. In the Spring of 2019, career preference will go away. 3rd party vendors will be in place. Walmart will do their TC/PC elimination January 2019.
Who is going to be over personnel will it be the asm ap? I read the transition is in January 2019 ?
Corporate just needs to let us know. The MHRM already has an assistant in each market. Helps all Market team but primarily MRHM. As for changing title to PTC, that's already title on SAMs side, PC/TC in SC., PC in NHM. ALL positions do the exact same functions with exception of TC on SC side, they assist PC. due to number of associates. We all just need to continue to do our best and wait for the news. If timeframe is sept, we should be notified soon.
There will be one salaried hr manager per market.
From my understanding, markets will hire salaried hr managers to play assistant to the mhrm. There will only be one person in Personnel. Name will change to ptc.
I doubt it's going salary. Orientation process has been updated to where PC has very little to do with it compared to the way we did it. Yes, managers dont like to follow it but if its done correctly, we have very little responsibility with that piece. There's a new interview process coming in a few days and we aren't privy to that information. ASM'S &SM only. They need to go ahead and announce the position is going away or if it's changing, explain it. Preach transparency, integrity. Actions are stronger than words Corporate.
In a neighboring Market I heard they now have a Salaried HR Assistant. The PC and TC in that Market are still in the stores for now. I’m pretty sure something is getting ready to change though.
I heard pc will take a 12 week training and will be Called HR now. They will also be salary. Has anyone heard anything like this?
It is getting crazy. What is role changing to ? There isn't any hours for job code with core hours coming.
Anyone know what the role will be ? Still no word on anything but access to things is slowiy disappearing, no designated hours in job code. Getting to be a bit much,
Sorry I didn't specify when I stated they no longer have personnel posted as a job. I was referring to Walmart careers.com.
Try again....I am in a store and I see both sides. Applicants can still apply and external can still apply. I guess you are the only store that update!
No it actually updated yesterday. Offices aren't a selection any longer. Now is specialty (optical, vision), sales floor, front-end, fresh, backroom which is claims, rec.
actually it does -- when an application is placed you can see it under offices.
Interesting, Walmart careers doesn't list Personnel jobs at all.
As HR I’m praying for my position to be eliminated. I want to get a package and leave. I have already secured a job I’m working in secret. I feel a fat severance is the best way to take a little back. Loyalty should be a 2 way street. Not so much any more at Wally World.
If y'all want honest answers get off this site....... it's a virtual break room full of rumors!
PC/TC's that actually get up out of the office and work versus playing your radios, eating breakfast/lunch and gossiping have ABSOLUTELY no worries.
Try smiling sometime, it's free...... don't dismiss with disgust when someone asks you something no matter how trivial in your mind....... THAT'S YOUR JOB and what you signed up for..... don't like it.....QUIT!

I think the problem is people are reading' hearing what they think are rumors, truths, fears from Supercenters, NHM, SAMs which are all Walmart and different things are changing in each some are the same, some different. No need to be nasty. sarcastic. All of us want the same thing. ANSWER'S. Some of us are 25+yrs who have been loyal, honest to the Company and just want the same in return.

Go look it up. He is incorrect. It has been added to supercenter. MHM were first to convert. That's the problem don't post repeated info.. Research!
That's correct AND If store make over a certain amount they can have both PC & Support as separate positions if they want to . Which is how it is at my store. There isn't a need for 3 supports. Time will tell. Hopefully sooner than later. Change is needed to grow but they really need to tell those that maybe effected in a timely manner.
Those job descriptions have been there since last year. When i asked my MHRM about it, she said the PC/Support was for NHM only--that's what she said and I am only repeating it. There really is no need to get nasty or testy.

How about you check yourself. PEREONNEL/SUPPORT for both WM and NHM. In there...amd PC/TC combo for smaller stores genius. Now Stop sreading fear.
I don't think people are posting fear, they are posting what they are hearing and reading on other sites. There has been more truth to the rumors about changes that have already occurred than not.

Check for yourself. There is no job description on the Wire any longer for a PC, there is one however for a PC/TC combined. I have no doubt the PC and TC will be eliminated, along with any other higher pay grade positions. All MHRM's are concerned about these days are bulletin boards and decorated lounges. Really? that's all they bring to the table? Pitiful. They should be concerned about the all time low that Morale has reached, or all the long term associates that are leaving. Anyone out there think

Okay, I have seen post on here twice that say Roles are changing not going away. What is the role for PC and TC going to be? Will there be a cut in pay? Just what is that Role and what will we be doing? This is just as bad as not knowing if our job is being eliminated. Quit beating around the bush. This is what causes rumors, when everyone is assuming first one thing and another.
@4sky - You're correct in that the rumors need to stop. That being said, the way to stop them is for the company to come out and put a stop to them. All they have to do for example is publicly say "we are NOT culling out the bottom 20% of ASM's. Or we aren't outsourcing Vision or Pharmacy.
But they AREN'T saying that which means either they are doing or at least considering those things; or they just don't care about their people. As long as that's the case, the rumors will persist and likely get worse.
