Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

I was JD’d in Oct

I was laid off in Oct. I was placed on a 60 day non-working notice. Its now Jan and I still haven’t received my severance. Citi is in really bad shape.

No experience with Citi personally but based on receiving severance from other companies, it could take up to 30 days. You might want a lawyer to take a look at the severance docs just to make sure you know what is expected of you. You also need to know when to file for unemployment in your state.

If the situation calls for it, sue them. Its easy to find a lawyer to take a case upon contingency. Sue for what’s owed you plus mental stress and anguish plus legal fees.

When in Oct? If toward the end, then your 60 days is just up recently, and then there are holidays. So I’d expect it shortly. Call HR if not.
