@hcmy+15QuNPmW: This is the reason why so much hiring is being done in India. Doing so eliminates the need for the kind of severence given to domestic workers.
Yup, hire interns and recent college grads for cheap and keep a few very experienced folks around to tell the young-ins what to do and how to do it. This model is nothing new in corporate America.
Re: job postings in Boston and Burlington, MA in US. Probably, posted just so they can justify moving resources to India after they find no "qualified candidates" in the US. "Qualified candidates" means, candidates that they wish to pay the going US salary for. That's why they've been big on hiring interns and new college hires in the US.
In the US there are jobs posted for the Burlington and Boston, MA offices. Do a web search for Allscripts jobs at those locations.
Allscripts goal is to see some financial improvement by Q3. There's no feasible way for this to happen since they'll be paying severance through end of year while losing productivity and losing Clients. PB and LK are too concerned with counting their millions, they can't see the forest through the trees. I'm hanging on til I get my severance and will be interviewing up until that point.
next earnings date is 7-30-2020..
@1upg+15QuNPmW What team is that?
What team/division is adding India resources? What product?
When will Allscripts announce earnings? We normally see big layoffs before that date.
Our team is adding resources in India. We do expect big layoffs after the knowledge transfer, normally within 60 days.
What day in August?
Care Director
What is “One company”?
@JDTV. Got a location for that prediction?
August is the next round of layoffs.
One company's US developers will be let go (unless other Allscripts BU's pick them up)
Allscripts should have voluntary lay-off. Whoever wants to go takes the package and leaves. Those who still love the company can happily stay. Executives will see higher employee morale/satisfaction and can collect more bonus. Win-win for all.
Allscripts isn't the only company ramping up hiring in India. A Google searches shows that..
