My managers thinks ithey will survive the reduction. I dont think so.
Outdated equipment. No training for the past 10 years. No persmission to go to trade shows. Just KPI and get it done, get it done. Now what. The senior management, you can see it in their faces. I cant stop chuckling. The superior intellect, not superior I guess. Me I can move, I'm areal engineer. Forget a job, no one is paying relo, sign on bonus's, top wages, for that steaming pile of Bob Lackey's. Wheres all that RFMD Triquint pride now??? Brag about how many years you were there?? Now where are you going. I just cant stop laughing. Its finally happening to them. The real world is seeping in. And Skyworks, has enough buildings!
Its pretty much all surplus except the IP and the specialty staff. Its gonna be huge when they swing the hammer. Greensboro is toast! Watch the managers step on anything and anyone to keep a job, any job. Then you have high year tenure staff, who have done nothing relevant for proffesional growth, for years. Obsolete. Wait till AI starts scanning their resumes. Even better, wait for the reality of the interview process if they manage to secure a face to face appointment. Truth be told, you are only worth what you know. Its gonna sting!
i suffered when rfmd acquired triquint and sh---y rfmd management took over. i hope all the a--holes in rfmd management (on the business side) get laid off.
@hc they will not be managers on top of managers at any other semi company. The Q is not a good place to be even a manager and then try to get back into industry. My manger has expert on his profile....my manager is not an expert. Sad times ahead, same dance , different song!
What happens with managers on top of managers (and actual tech leads), who just sit in meetings and produce nothing?
Already reported but it has work force implications:
System-level design: Qorvo is transitioning toward more integrated system solutions to eliminate redundancies at the design level. For example, its RF Fusion architecture eliminates redundant on-board matching in mobile devices to improve performance and efficiency.
●By simplifying the final product, the integrated design process reduces the need for the redundant support and product management associated with individual components.
●Roles focused solely on the design and support of discrete, individual components may be at risk. This reinforces the need for employees to adapt and gain broader skills to remain valuable to the company.
@OP WHO is looking at redundant groups? Which management groups should we look at?
