@28z You are right. This sort of behavior is rampant. But NOT limited to ex T#3 siouth ind. There are senior execs from Niorth ind ex T… They are surrounded by Dir/Exec dirs who have the same lineage. Now we hire contractors from TCS only. There are Exec Dirs and DE’s who have their own body shops and they also place contractors in the groups they lead. Clear conflict of interest and case for Fraud Waste and abuse. Senior execs all the way to the top (TM) probably know but do not care about it but do not care for what ever be the reason. How else can one explain the promotions of such individuals who are openly doing acting with impunity. Add another dimension to this. New leadership from down South US who are bringing their cronies from the Hospital down south where they worked before. Some are appointed as AVP’s and promoted to VP’s within few months without delivering or proving their capabilities. Nepotism at it’s best.

Careful what you wish for! I was part of 2024 layoffs...and still can’t find full time employment. It's crazy out here! Ageism is real...

CVS is the biggest scamster out there. They don't manufacture anything, and keep charging prices to users as they like. All the state level AGs should file clas.s action suits against them for not charging the U&CP (Usual & Customary price) to patients having insurance, while lowering the price to this without it. They are full of crooks from TCS, including those who have had their spouse work in that company through the backdoor (executive director Anup Gopalkrishna Kamath, Lead director Ankish Nagpal, lead director Chandrasekhar Bonus, several other Lead directors, and senior managers). There's another fraud done there: several managers and directors of south Indian origin keep hiring contractors instead of employees to earn money in cash under the table which the IRS and the SEC needs to seriously investigate (because it's a public company). They saved all the H1B people that were part of the SDET team, while removing everyone from other teams like PMO, Architecture, and QA. The above mentioned executive directors and their spouses remain untouched throughout the process of optimization - that's the level of corruption in this so-called healthcare company. We should write to the SEC, and the HHS to investigate them for such frauds. Plus 3 out of 4 VPs are ex-TCS, that itself says a lot about that company's leadership. Just putting an American face out to the public won't help, thugs. The OIG of SEC, and the HHS should investigate them for multiple frauds listed above, and for siphoning off rebtea & discounts from the dr-g manufacturers for Medicare, Medicaid and MA programs.

@a8 I think with the recent H1B announcement from the feds, cvs will need to flex

This kind of thuggery is not new to CVS health, because more than 70-80% of the workforce is ex-TCS (called Thug Consultancy services), including 3 of the 4 VPs of CVS pharmacy. Several directors (Last names are Kamath, Nagpal), senior mangers (last name: Gaur, and several others) have quietly had their wives/husbands join a similar or a nearby team within the company, both keep discussing how to fool other managers on Teams chat all day, then plan to have lunch together, and come, and go from the office together, while excluding everyone else (read as natural born Americans, non-TCS people, and non-soith indians) from their "insider circles" for firing, sidelining, and all other evil businesses. So no one should wonder as to why this evil empire is going down the trash bin, because it absolutely should go exactly there.

@xz So sweep it under the rug, to keep things quiet and out of the press. Yeah that sounds like CVS.

Closure? Lol...
Hit a nerve with that one.

@xz
Agree with your take on it. There needs to be closure internally for those who are going to be impacted. So much speculation that is definitely creating morale issues across groups.

Given the volatility of the markets and economy, I would not be surprised if this was done with less fanfare then in previous cycles.
It's a call, a wrap up your things and that's it. No big news announcement.

Hopefully if it’s happening this week it starts today. We’ve all seen this coming. It’s time to make the calls / announcements so that we can all move on with our lives wherever that may take us.

In regards to layoffs or anything else that may or may not happen, nothing that CVS does at this point will surprise me. Sadly this is how CVS operates. Think of how many restructurings CVS has been through over the last several years. I'm guessing more than any other company in America. So hey, what's another restructuring? Or what's a few more layoffs? Frankly to the executives, these things are nothing, because they're not affected by them. So to everyone here, just remember this is CVS, so anything is possible. Because again this is exactly how they operate. Always looking for short-term savings, and never looking at long-term down the road.

@nn Was 2023 the year Karen tried to sneak it and got caught and I think everyone got severance until October?

The 2023 Illinois layoffs did show up in a WARN report, but only after everyone had been notified.

@c7 What is happening with retail?

@ca WARN notices are of limited use. None of the Illinois layoffs were published on the state site.

This one been kept under pretty tight seal to keep the chatter from leaking out everywhere way before people were notified

@c7
So DDAT is impacted? All at once?
And yeah, previously we were notified prior to WARN, but the WARN was eventually published.

@bx There is a way they get around the WARN notice where they tell the impacted people they are being laid off but keep them on as an employee then send the notice. If you look at past WARN notices it mentions impacted employees have been told.

Some of them are being announced next week. I don’t think it will be multiple tranches in Oct-Dec. one next week and l may be one later for certain other departments. But at an Org level, DDAT/ cvs retail, it will all be done at once.

Not officially publish?
By law WARN notices have to happen for large numbers.
