@jj partly true… they needed funding to stink the over all EMEA network, close pops, etc… couldn’t get funding signed off, so offered the NL fibre network for sale. Not sure what the outcome was though.

@kr mainly people as they still use all US-based products and services to my knowledge.

What products fall under VBG International? When they say we may be exiting, is it just people? Or products also?

Been told months ago (from a vodafone guy) that the VZ network in NL is outdated and needs big investment to keep the infrastructure running. It needs a big upgrade.
I heard it's for sale around 40Millions.

@h1 the EWC is still under NDA. Local Works Council meetings are taking place in Belgium, France, and Germany these weeks, so everyone is expecting layoffs soon. That said, no one is talking about buyouts anymore. Early speculation was focused on Accenture and HCL but consulting firms won't be buying the VBG INT business, it's too complicated to make profitable. A BT joint venture is also unlikely - it would require years of multi-country antitrust reviews to work legally, and Dan simply doesn't have time for that.

@gq do you know anything coming out of the EWC talks?

Any whispers about BT joint venture maybe being back on the table?

Current RIFs in the Netherlands are limited to Sales and were directed by Sanjiv. Dan’s RIFs are expected later with rumors over 500 departures for Europe. If thats true VzB will be dying there.

Dan is focusing on the dysfunctional US market, his home turf. Next he will conquer Europe.

@c9 I wonder when the so called tiger is going to reveal his plans for Europe and International instead of drivelling on about AI, cowboy cr-p, obsession with "delighting customers" and similar platitudes....but I doubt he has any

The US lost interest in Europe a long time ago so I don’t think it is a surprise
