Unless I missed something, our store didn't get any news on positions being removed or people being cut. I can't figure out if this is a company-wide thing or if is it specific for each location. If it's the former, then I guess we'll be getting our notification today or tomorrow? I'm utterly confused.

@gxh+1qDMQt8p Everyone impacted at corporate was informed either yesterday (VP) or today (Sr Director and below). These colleagues were informed that their last day of employment is next Friday, not when they’ll be told.
I was among the crowd laid off today on the corporate side. Absolutely su-ks. Thanks Tony!

My team was told that every level of corporate needed some level of workforce reduction, some departments impacted more significantly than others.

There will be a good amount of restructuring, mainly at Macy’s. The official announcements will be coming out later today, and your department leader should be notifying you prior.

Corporate colleagues in my org under Customer+Digital just got two last minute 30 minute meeting invites from the acting director, one for more immediate teams and one for the org at large.
Note just says to please ensure we clear our calendars to attend.
To my knowledge I haven’t heard of any individual meetings being set up so to me so far this implies at least a reorg for us (as well as the meeting being titled “2024” maybe indicating restructure moving forward). If it were just store closures we wouldn’t be meeting, we usually find that out thru corporate comms.

No hourly cuts, colleagues being rebalanced to drive sales. Any position changes will be handled through attrition. Regional and corporate reorganization happened yesterday, today store executive reorganization (including packages) are happening.
