My director (C15) announced she was leaving last week. She made it sound like she quit for another opportunity. But she has been very tight-lipped about when her last day is and where she is going. The word is she needs HR approval about what she can and cannot say. We think she was laid off but is unable to say so yet. All the layoffs that have been announced around my org has been wrapped in pretty bows. So and so is leaving Citi and we thank them for their service. They are going on an adventure and will do great things. It's all BS.

If you are not getting your severance on time get a lawyer to review what you signed. This restructuring is a mess. And to the OP, yes, there have been layoffs this week. And likely every other week a few more will be let go here and there. MD’s are just moving pieces before sending people to the chopping block. I have a couple of colleagues who work with clients and they were told you are out and here’s the door you need to leave now.

HR responds in accordance to the level of which they care, which is none. Since they do not, that explains why you are not hearing anything.

Does it say on your severance when the payment must be made (e.g., within x days after signing)?

Right. Its been more than 60 days since my WARN period ended and HR says I just have to wait till they have time to process the payment. I don’t even know who to reach out to at this point. The HR rep is clueless.

Not in HR but severence wouldn’t come until the WARN non working period is done, so 60 or 90days after last in office day ( assuming you qualify for WARN)
