Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

More layoffs this week

Several people have mentioned here and at the office that there might be more layoffs this week but there was no mention of possible locations. Anybody here knows what could be next on the list? Other than Sugar Land that somebody already asked about in another thread.

Seems like it was a wave that all happened that one week, 3 weeks ago. I’m sure there’s another coming, they just need to figure out how big first.

They are paying off all the experienced guys in aberdeen as highest salarys so makes biggest difference but very short sited as we already lost loads of experience and kept graduates and trainees who have lost is loads of work as no idea what there doing .
We have lost over 200 years experience this week alone from only a handful of guys Baker just going further down the tubes.
We have almost no one left with over 10 years experience it's a absolute joke in our office.

HR keeps that a deep dark secret. You will not know until they book all conference rooms and tell everybody they will be conducting meetings all day.

Good luck everyone. Bad times ahead
