Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Results driven

On Friday, in the afternoon, I noticed that my Client emailed me requiring assistance BUT I reached my daily allotment of eight hours of sapiens. I logged out. This is a first.

This is the result of a poorly treated salaried employee at Fiserv now driven by weak leadership and Sapien.

My out of office went on at 5pm December 20th and isn’t coming off until 8am January 2nd. Not thinking about clients, emails, catching up, production support, etc. let the managers and above that get bonuses handle everything. And my phone is off!

I did the exact same thing on Friday. A client emailed with a question and I had already hit my 8 hours. My out of office is on until Jan. 2 with no backup listed since there isn't anyone left to back me up. I feel bad for my client but that's how Fiserv does things these days.

I put extra time but just to do an even better job to get another job soon. Dont want to let the nasty sh-t at Fiserv give me bad habits when I won't be sticking around like a lot of you folk

I love the new 8 hour policy for my grade level. I used to be working at least 50 hours a week, now I know only 40 hours are required. Why do more with no bonuses? Let the incentive eligible level folks cover the rest, there's a good reason why they are getting bonuses.

I keep telling my other colleagues to stop working on the weekend or email merchants on a day off. You shouldn't be working off the clock anyway because companies and managers take advantage of that.

Work your allotted time and don't work a minute more. You don't matter. Neither does the effort. Why? You're expendable.

I used to check emails and catch up at night, weekends, and vacation. No more. Not 1 minute after 8 hours. They want to treat us like hourly employees, so be it. PS… I’m on vacation until January 8th!

Same here. I used to put in 50+ hour per week to meet deadlines and get ahead of things without complaints because I could reclaim my time in other areas. Now, with the Sapience and mandatory in office hours, Fiserv is getting its 40 hours and not a second more. You wanna play games?! Let's play.

Same. I’m working my required hours. I set a timer to badge out of the office exactly 9 hours after I badge in. To the minute. I have to take R&R over the holidays but still keep an eye on my email to avoid looking bad on Sapience. Sometimes I wonder if this is all a bad dream.

You are not alone. I also refused to "do what it takes" Friday afternoon for a client request late in the day. I was already way over my required hours for my grade level.

@gur+1w6uLan4 - I’m client facing and worn out. I’ve been with this company over 10 years and it’s taken its toll. When the job market changes I’m out. I’m hoping the 2025 will bring new opportunities.

Being in a client facing role myself, I am not sure I would do this but at the same time, I don't know if I disagree. If this is the culture being driven in the company, they will reap what they sow.
