No point in keeping it since they axed me.

I took mine to the pawn shop, they told that they won't take it. Even the stones. Oh well
I got about 15 bucks for my 5 year pin at cash4gold. Nice and easy.
A couple years back moving from one house to another found a couple ( maybe five and ten year pins) of my anniversary pins, chucked them in the trash. Who actually needs or wants that c-ap. Really shows what an aging giant EM IS. Giving out lapel pins. So very stylish. And so 1970s.
Stick the pin in your manager’s eye.... a parting gift.
I’d leave it on my desk, as it’s clear the management team needs every cent.

Lmao
On Ebay, I recently sold a large Swavorski crystal paperweight engraved:
'Exxon Valdez Operations - Team Alaska '89'.
80 bucks!
Hold on to that pin.
XOM being "the best" was clearly a facade. The pay and benefits at any company are only as good as the business model necessary to sustain them until you retire. The fact that the two have misaligned at XOM for over a decade led directly to this significant and heartless job-culling. If it weren't for BP, Shell, and Total pivoting towards renewables, XOM would be in even worse shape!
is there a company out there better than EM? I feel like the love of my life just broke up with me
I'm curious, how much gold value can you get from the pin at a pawn shop? Looking to do something with my 5 year pin
Sorry we lost you. As 20+ year employee, it is embarrassing that we have been slowly drifting offtrack for past decade, and now resorting to layoffs to partially stem the bleeding. Keep the pin in a drawer - someday you will discover it, and can then reflect on how your life had changed (hopefully improved).
to the bin..
